Maalaismainen, Brookside-mökki, jossa on vanhan maailman charmia, koostuu 2 makuuhuoneesta. Makuuhuone, jossa on upeat Adirondack-sisustus ja king-size-vuode, on vieressä valtava kylpyhuone, katedraalin katot, uppoava uppoava kylpyamme, vapaasti seisova suihku, antiikkikoristeita. Myös vastapäätä makuuhuoneeseen on viehättävä kirjasto, josta on näkymät värikkäille kukille keväällä / kesällä ja joulukuusille talvella. Vedä sohva, joka nukkuu 2 ... Toinen makuuhuone koostuu 2 queen-size-vuodetta. Tämän vieressä on toinen täysin remontoitu kylpyhuone, jossa on korkeat katot, iso suihku ja antiikkisänky. Täydellinen keittiö holvattuine mäntykattoineen, * Äskettäin uusittu .. alijäämäinen jäähdytys tiskin alla .. kvartsitiskin yläosassa. Taidelaitteiden kauniit näkymät purolle ** Kolmas kylpyhuone sijaitsee keittiön vieressä täydellisillä kylpytuotteilla. Pesukone ja kuivaaja ovat myös keittiön vieressä. Ruokasalista on tarjolla täysi näkymä puron läpivientiseinästä seinään ikkunoihin, tuomiokirkon kattoihin, joissa on mäntyä ja kuorta, ja 12 jalkaa pitkä antiikkipöytä nauttiaksesi Brookside-ruokailusta. Suuri huone on viehättävä, viihtyisä, romanttinen ja rentouttava paikka, jossa on suuri kivitakka, samettinen sohva, intialaiset viltit ja mukavat tuolit. Always Amazing

Excellent cabin!

Very cozy and cute cabin, well maintained and excellent communication with Cheryl the host. Nicely equipped with kitchen equipment and bathroom supplies/towels/blankets and new washer/dryer. Screen porch could use a little more attention for sitting there to enjoy the brook— it just has a picnic table and 2 seats. Highly recommend --we are set to return 2025! Highly recommend!!

2nd Time and the charm is alive

This was our 2nd stay at the Brookside Cabin, and we enjoyed it just as much if not more than the first time. First, this is a cabin nestled next to a lovely, small creek partially in the woods, but it's a cabin with very upscale amenities. The bedrooms and beds were all quite comfortable, but the updated bathroom and kitchens offered great luxury. In fact, we brought along our own Nespresso machine only to find one was available. New from our last stay were excellent window unit air conditioners we needed only during the day. Additionally, the porch chairs have been updated and were far more comfortable than those before. Coffee on the deck with views out across the lake was a treat. Best of all, the grounds of the Whiteface Club and Resort are exceptional. The waterfront garden still amazes my gardener wife, and enjoying dinner at the Moose Lodge right on the lake with spectacular views of Whiteface mountain simply can't be beat. This is a very hard spot to dislike, so we look forward to our next opportunity to share this great home.

Property nice but needs work mice dirt on counters , terrible ants on walkway climbing on you trying to unpack had to go and get stuff to put down thank to my husband he took care of them , buts mice coming in somewhere and we were very clean used ziplock bags and containers Would have left but family in hotels in town , hope I can be compensated!

Peaceful and serene week!

Cheryl - Andy, myself and the dogs thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Brookside. We felt safe, cozy and relaxed the entire week we were there. The spaciousness of the cottage is even more than we expected based on the pictures and we were delighted with the big master suite and bathroom! The dogs enjoyed their time and we did lots of hiking in the area (so many hiking trails and so little time!) The town of Lake Placid is just 5 minutes away and we found no issues with finding a good restaurant to visit or with parking. Overall, we had a wonderful time and we hope you will have us back again one day! Rob C.

A mountain cabin to delight all

This second trip to Brookside was just as lovely as last year. This is a top-notch place with majestic mountains and lakes all around you. Inside Brookside you will find rustic furniture and walls, a beautiful working kitchen with all you would need. I am a linen freak and often bring my own, but Brookside has the most luxurious towels and sheets that I have ever found in any of my rentals. With it's 10 minute proximity to anywhere you might want to go, it is an easy choose to pick this cozy, comfortable cabin. I'd do it again. P.S. you'll love the fireplace!

Cozy Cabin

We spent 3 night at the Brookside Cabin and hope to return. We love staying at the Whiteface Club because it is an easy drive to town but we like being away from the hustle. We also enjoy the short walk to the Lake Placid Lodge to grab a drink at the bar there. The cabin was comfortable and well appointed. We really liked that the cabin was not decorated in the cookie cutter style of so many LP places. Plenty of towels, comfortable beds, etc. All the touches you want. Amazing views, lots of light and windows. The fireplace and firewood were probably our favorite feature. A cozy fire, that amazing smell of wood burning while you watch the snow fall - like spending time in snow globe! So perfect. As expected, it was snowy and icy in January in LP. The steps to the hours are stone and uneven (would not recommend to anyone with mobility issues) and they were icy. We called the property manager and they had it sanded within the hour and left more salt for us to add as needed. Super responsive! Just what you need in inclement weather. Our only suggestion would be to improve check-in/check-out. We had to go downtown to pick up/drop off the key. We rent VRBO a lot and most places now have lock boxes on property or coded keypads which make things significantly easier. We hope to return to this cozy, charming cabin. It was LP perfection!

This home is beautiful and welcoming!

Went with our family, and dog, for our daughter's wedding in Lake Placid. This home was perfect for us, well- located on the site, next to a brook with lots of trees and great views from the windows. The rooms are big and the furniture is extremely comfortable with plenty of places to sprawl for all of us. The refrigerator was unexpected: 2 sets of drawers (including a freezer) and a beverage fridge- but functioned very well for our needs. Firewood was available on the porch for us to use. We'd happily stay at Brookside again!

Perfect lake placid getaway

This location is ideal…close to town but right by the white face facilities… the cabin was cozy and absolutely perfect for our family of 5 and our dog.. the wood burning fireplace in the living room was amazing ..we absolutely loved everything about it and will definitely be returning !!! We can’t wait to stay there and enjoy the amenities in the summer …it is right next the the golf course !

Great location

We needed overflow lodging for family for my daughters wedding at the Lake Placid Lodge. Location was walking distance so it was very convenient. Not so convenient is having to pick up and return the keys downtown, which we were not aware of until a few days before. While the real estate agent was extremely nice and helpful, a coded lock box like we had at 2 other properties makes more sense, especially with guests arriving at later hours and having to share keys. Other than that, our family was very comfortable at Brookside.

Perfect home base for family vacation

Our family of four adults – parents and sons – spent a week at Brookside in mid-September. Our last family vacations were pre-Covid, in Italy and in Spain. Now we wanted to find a house we could drive to, in a new location (to us) where each of us could follow our interests, and where we could bring our 15-year-old, very well-behaved dog. We were not disappointed! Brookside was perfect for us. It is located in a lovely wooded resort neighborhood and, while not directly on Lake Placid, we could walk down near the water. We found the house to be very clean and neat, with casual and comfy Adirondack décor. Good wifi. The kitchen has high quality appliances and plenty of equipment, dishes, utensils, and linens. The bedrooms are large, with comfortable beds and woodsy linens. There are three full bathrooms. The master bath is exceptional: huge with a lovely wooded view from the tub. Brookside was a perfect location as a home base for our family. Fly fishing and golf were favored activities. Restaurant recommendations were excellent. The proximity of the house to the town of Lake Placid was convenient, as we took advantage of nearby restaurants, shops, and huge grocery store nearby. We loved the Lake Placid area, Brookside was a perfect fit for us, and we would definitely go back again.

Liked the separate bedrooms-considered it 2 masters. Uncertain what we could do on the property as it was part of a golf course community but since we were going there for a sporting event I never researched. So check before you go. There were restaurants on site. There is a trailhead/hike a close walk from the cabin. Had a nice stay. Relaxing place.

Such a beautiful home! This was our third time staying at Brookside Cottage and it is even lovelier than our last visit. Cheryl has made gorgeous improvements and the location is perfect for sailing, tennis, fishing, golf and dinners at the Lake Placid Lodge. We highly recommend staying at this lovely home.

Absolutely perfect! Love everything about this cottage. From the layout, the decor, location, porch, partial view of the lake, to all of the little details that make this cottage so special and comfortable. Had everything we needed and more. Love the convenience of having the marina right down the way to rent kayaks and eating at the Boathouse. We usually stay at Whiteface Club & Resort properties and Brookside is perfection. Better Than The Pictures

I don't know where to start, this sweet, cozy cabin in the snowy woods was one of the only times I've entered and found the place more beautiful than the pictures. It's comfort, views and sound of the babbling brook made us feel like we were in a Hollywood movie. The special detail the owner takes in its decorating, and quality of furnishings and linens is just worth the stay. The lane it is situated on is so quiet you sleep like you haven't slept in a long time. It is only a ten-minute drive to Main Street Lake Placid, but far enough away from all the hub bub. The community it is in, is like a "Winter Wonderland". The walkway and deck get shoveled for you every day. There is a clubhouse a stone's throw away with fabulous cocktails and food. There is snow shoeing and cross-country skiing right here at your doorstep. The fireplace was amazing and there is always plenty of wood for it stacked neatly on the screened in porch. If you just want to enjoy a real winter getaway, to do everything or nothing, this is the place for you. Patti & Doug with Trixie our doggie
