Decent place, good value
Decent place for the price and location. Room was clean and comfy. Water pressure good, warm water worked. Wifi worked soso. Breakfast was not buffet, just one order, but quality was decent. I liked, that they did not only have rice, but also hash browns. Brewed coffee had to be paid extra. Pool area is somehow shared with the neighbouring pretty run-down ressort. The pool surrounding looks sad, pool showers were out of order. Pool itself was nice and large by Filipino standards, you could actually swim. The driveway to the main road is a little sketchy at nights as there are no streetlights. For the way home just get a tricycle or taxi all the way.

Expedia should take this hotel out of the system.
This place is small place by the beach. 15 to 30 units . 2 units occupied by us and another family. The facility is used as a embarcation for loading hundred plus people to small boats bound for snorkeling in the reefs. Very crowded, very noisy, very dirty. The lobby and the garden are full of people waiting for their boats. Upon arrival I checked with the front desk to change my 3 night booking to one night. I was told no problem. Next morning I tried to check out, I was told I have to deal with EXPEDIA. I called Expedia USA, international call. Expedia put me on hold and called the hotel after 10 minutes , I was told the number does not answer. I handed my cellphone to the front desk. The front desk said the decision is up to the booking manager in another facility. The decision was I have to pay for one more night $ 81 because I have to cancel 2 weeks prior. I booked the room one night before the stay. The room is less than one star , very basic, and spartan. It is probably worth $ 15.00. They made me pay $ 81/ night for 2 nights for a one night stay. The morning front desk girl was not forthcoming with information and gave me the runaround. RIP OFF Joint. I demand the 2nd night refund from Expedia. They should not put below standard hotels in their system. Unhelpful, dirty, and not worth for any amount of money. Expedia refund me $ 81 and get that refund from that horrible hotel. I am an avid traveler used to all sorts of condition. But this hotel is something else.

Below Expectations
We spent 3 nights at this unpleasant and overpriced joke of a "resort". It features motel style rooms overlooking a public beach. Hot showers, air conditioning worked and beds were ok. No fridge at first, but after asking they brought a small rusty fridge and requested an extra fee which we refused to pay. Breakfast consists of a cup of warm water with coffee powder, 1 egg, 2 slices of toast, and a greasy sausage. We only got 2 free breakfasts for our 4 person room, additional ones were 190 Pesos each. The restaurant boasts a limited menu and high prices so we skipped eating here. The beach is sandy but narrow. Water is clear and shallow with some snorkeling spots about 400 feet out. Lots of jet skis, banana boats, dive tour boats and other motorized craft make swimming hazardous. Bus loads of local and Korean tourists come in and out all day to use the facilities. Jet ski refueling and maintenance occur right in front of the rooms causing strong gasoline odor. Aggresive hawkers incessantly tried to sell us expensive island hopping and snorkeling tours as well as other "services" including adult entertainment. Saturday afternoon some very noisy construction went on right on the roof of our room. That same night all rooms filled up with local tourists who parked their cars right in front of their (and our) room then went on drinking, yelling, and singing all night until 730 am. Overall a terrible experience, do your self a favor and stay somewhere else!

Party Place or Island Hopper for a night only
Likes: Verandah looks out on the ocean - great view. Breakfast included - omelette or cb hash w/ rice Dislikes: No hot water Questionable characters hanging around (safety) Safe was broken and this was a place you needed it Overall the location is very good and if you bull-dozed this camp (far from resort) and built something nice it would be great. The price we paid was way too much for the facilities.

Awful Place
Paid reservation for 3 nights but we could only stay 1 night as it was so so bad. Hated to lose the money. 4 staff on check in desk...... young girls each on their cell phone laughing and giggling. Finally, begrudgingly, one broke away to come see us. The grounds around this hotel are absolutely disgusting. Trash, broken furniture, dead plants all over the place. Worst of all the beach was totally covered in stinking seaweed. No attempt to clean things up. The pool was not on their property even. It was at a closed down motel down the road ....... again surrounded by plant debris. It looked too cloudy to even think about going in. Breakfast was very sparse and plain. You have to pay if you want a second cup of instant coffee!!!

Outdated pictures!!
We checked in and I was going to take a shower. Room was advertized with hot water. I turned on the shower and let it run for 1-2 minutes - no hot water. I complained at desk and was instructed to let the hot water run for 15 minutes and then there would be hot water. I said a 15 minute wait for hot water was unacceptable. Staff offered to switch us to another room where it would only take 10 minutes for hot water to be available for showering. We declined to switch rooms and checked out of our room.

Expecting more!
The staff was very friendly. No wifi in the rooms. The wifi worked rarely ( in the lobby area.) The hotel was very noisy. If you want to sleep in the morning forget it. The boats racing their engine an the buses bringing loads of tourist in just too much noise. We stayed in the Philippines many of times this hotel cost way too much for what you get. Watch out they ran out of water! No toilets or shower! They told us the truck is coming! That was the first for us.

Ants. Noise. Wild cats and dogs.
Location:good. Sleepy cove. Ants in room. Had to spray almost daily. Towels scratchy and old. Wouldn't use them as rags at home. Busloads of Korean tourists come in to use beach daily. Buses sit running for hours on end just outside room. Wild dogs and cats...menacing. Two girls sit at desk gossiping and laughing loudly. When I go up to ask a question, they act annoyed as if I a disturbing something important. Mattress uncomfortable Pillows terrible. Hard to sleep with nighttime noise. Drunks coming and going from nearby restaurant late. Cost is low...good location. ..

Nice hotel. The area around it isn't so nice. But if you're in Lapu-Lapu on the coast, it's a good place to stay. Very friendly staff.

Trash at beachfront!
The beach front in the picture wasn't complete. There was a drop right in front of the beach that could not be seen in the picture. We did not swim. The water was dirty. It had soda cans, plastic, all kinds of trash mixed with seaweeds. The trash was removed after 3 days at checkout! I will not go back there!

good for airport arrival night.
A nice bit of isolation from the pandemonium of the neighborhood! The hotel was up a long narrow driveway and isolated by security gates from Lapu Lapu city chaos! Not being negative. We just wanted a little peace from the noise and bustle while waiting for a ferry departure the following day after arriving at the airport.

Bluefins is nice
The Bluefins is a nice place. The Room was a nice size and bed and pillows were nice. Has a small beach with palm trees and was very nice. The only problem was the water wasnt as nice as I would have hoped. Much seaweed. Still came with a free breakfast whice was nice. The only bad thing is the prices of the goods sold at the hotel were expensive and paid for an extra breakfast which was quite expensive. Overall a nice place.

A quick two day business stay. A pity that internet only is available in the lobby, because this would determine repeat stays for me. Hopefully by the next time they will have spread the wifi through to the rooms.
