The welcome was friendly and accommodating and the staff very attentive- especially the manager. The private room was clean, bright and spacious. The hostel is in a quiet area and is as quiet as the guests staying allow. I would have liked a socket next to the bed for my phone but, as with many hotels, all sockets, of which there were plenty, were on the opposing wall. A small gripe that the flat sheet on the bed was too small for the bed exposing the mattress if you moved in the night. The shared toilet by the morning was a little grue, but down to guests poor use of the facilities not staff. The wifi was a little weak, perhaps due to volume of traffic. Breakfast is cereals and toast, tea and coffee and, as is common in a hostel, cater for yourself. A fresh fruit option would have been a nice touch but no complaints in all. The kitchen and dining area were clean and well stocked and labelled. I'd recommend this hostel as one of the more hotel-like of those I've used. Its well situated for train stations and car parks and easy to reach for a great price and served my purpose well.
