The Manchester Hotel is a very nice boutique property. It sits along a stretch of older industrial buildings, which makes the immediate surroundings look less than scenic. On the other hand, many of those buildings have been converted into restaurants and entertainment venues.

This hotel is really nice, but the food is not good. They are trying too hard to make it fancy and at a price that isn't worth it. They need to stick to some basics with a burger and the fried chicken. I can only describe it as "funky". I ate 2 times in the main restaurant and both were almost inedible. The tri tip was tough as roofing shingles. I was with a party of 8 and no one finished their meals. Don't eat here until they change their menu.

The hotel is nice looking but for the nightly price some things are really lacking. Housekeeping was hit and miss. Some days they left coffee, one day we got no washcloths and twice, no makeup remover wipes. We were on the 6th floor which is two floors below the rooftop restaurant but every evening you could hear the restaurants music until at least midnight. Our in room safe was broken. Front desk staff tried to fix it but couldn’t. I realize the hotel is all about looks but no one cares if a safe in a closet matches the room ascetic, it’s better to have one that is actually useable. There is no exhaust fan in the bathroom so after every shower, our room was filled with humidity and the mirrors fogged up. One positive, the staff were very friendly/helpful and food was good. Also your view from the hotel is a gas station and train yard.

I was in Lexington for an event at the horse park and I had a lovely stay at the Manchester. It was wonderful to have my little dog with me and not be charged for it. The only bummer is the in room coffee pot didn’t work. Everything else was phenomenal. The staff was attentive and kind.

From the moment you come in the hotel, You’re immersed in the smell of leather and bourbon. The hotel staff were excellent. The rooms are amazing! The bed was so comfortable and the bathrooms are beautiful! We really enjoyed the hotel bar and all the servers were fantastic! Absolutely enjoyed our stay here! And the location is really great!
