We stayed in Cod save the Queen. Expedia said there was a Murphy bed, but there wasn't. Instead there was a hideabed..not nearly as comfortable..That's fine for kids, but for an adult it wasn't great. The back bedroom gets really stuffy and could really use a ceiling or box fan. Places around the building needed some upgrading. Overall, not a bad place.

Most the hallways lights were broken. Carpets very dirty. Lanai literally had a pile of seagull poop and cheap broken plastic chairs. Bathroom fan clogged with dirt and dust. People in adjacent units smoking cigarettes and marijuana on their lanais so had to close our lanai doors quite often. The staff were pleasant. The location views were awesome, just needs maintenance.

Gushing water
At 230 in the morning the ceiling starting gushing water in the kitchen and in the bathroom water also started leaking water. Apparently someone fell asleep in the bathtub upstairs. I called the emergency number that was just an answering service. No one came out for an hour and a half and all I was given was towels. By 4 am the water had stopped I guess they woke the person up that was running the water and who had fell asleep. Horrible night and experience

Had a girls weekend. Fit 5 adults nicely. Great location right on beach with easy access. Fairly quiet with a little road noise in the bedroom and could hear the kid upstairs running. Overall great experience. But room wasn’t vacuumed and pool and hot tub both had clumps of hair floating in them.

The private studio ambercrombie and Fish (rm 120) was great! The only issue was that you can really hear chikdren running back and forth all day and night. Tenants above us were playing music until 3 am and were loud. Best part was the view amd sound of the ocean. Ease of getting in was phenomenal.

The property was ok but so much noise. Sounds of doors slamming and the footsteps of the people upstairs. Also I left my purse in the room (all my fault) it took 5 days before they got around to mailing it to me. I gave them my permission to charge my card on Thursday at around 1:00 pm. They didn’t mail it until the next Tuesday. Unacceptable

NOT CLEAN....VERY DIRTY
Very disappointed in our stay. We have stayed at D Sands many times but not for a few years and boy has it gon down hill. The door lock code literally did not work until 4:00 pm. We arrived 8 minutes early and had to sit in our car. We did go to the front desk because we had to use the restroom to see about getting in the room. The answer was no and we had to use the restroom in the pool area. Upon arrival in our room we were surprised to find a dirty room. Food and dirt on floor, hair on the floor in the bathroom, dusty...just dirty. I always bring clorex wipes just as a sanitary precaution (just in case)...amen, because we used the entire pack. We sweep all the floors and vacuumed. We did send a message and 50% of the cleaning fee was credited back to us. My family and i did not walk in the room with our bare feet. The kitchen floor was so sticky and dirty that i finally got on my hands and knees and scrubbed it with the sponge. I did not scrub the whole floor, i left a strip so they could see how dirty it was. This room has not been really cleanned in a very long time. The carpet was very stained and dirty. It either needs a really good shampooing or just replace. We did call around trying to find another place to stay but could not find a place so our choice......stay and keep cleaning or go home. Very sad. This is such a great location but some major cleaning needs to occur. I would double think before ever going back to D Sands. Again, very sad.

Excellent location and local staff was very helpful. Loved being right "on the beach." It was lovely to hear the surf at night. While maybe a bit dated and the bed a little saggy, everything we needed was there. We read, walked, ate. Cross ventilation could be improved. If you open a windows, it's covered with heavy drapes so no breeze can get through.

Check in is at 4:00pm. They didn’t start cleaning our room until 3:45pm. That’s when she called me and told me that the room wasn’t clean and wasn’t available until 5:00pm. She knew we were there because I went to the office at 2:40pm and asked about early check in. And she didn’t say anything at that time, we were in the parking lot waiting until we could check in. It was very frustrating. The balcony was as gross, couldn’t sit it was so bad, stains everywhere on the carpet and the front office knew about it, No garbage cans and very very dark and dirty stairs

The facility is very old however it was very clean. We had an electrical problem from the time we arrived where the microwave would not work. They are unable to repair it. The gentleman on duty he tried, but he was not electrician. I believe he had a circuit break problem, as I said before, the facilities is very old I’ve traveled the coast for since the 60s obviously not much has been done to that facility. Other than fresh paint would stay there again. The view is excellent. It’s too bad the facilities and such a state.

We stayed for three days and found the room to be fair at best. The room was not the cleanest and the balcony was covered in pigeon poo. The wifi was very poor. I was unable to connect remotely to my servers and had to use my cell phone data as an access point to do my business. I am unable to give a better recommendation and we will not be back. We have stayed at better places in the area.
