What was good? -
Room was spacious
Room was clean
The bed was very comfortable
The view from the room was excellent
The shower worked well
The location was great, very central
The staff were pleasant (especially the staff member in the breakfast room)
What was not so good?-
The laminate flooring was old and chipped
The furniture was very marked and chipped and needed replacing
The sofa was old and dirty looking (it was marked)
The walls and skirting were scuffed and chipped and needed painting
The pool and the area around it was tired, and needed refurbished
The breakfast lacked choice and the hot food was not hot or of good quality.
The toaster dial was taped up, and it was very slow
The bar was non existent inside, and was only a portable table next to the pool. (The glass of wine i was given tasted terrible)
There were no nice little extras that you normally find in a 4 star place (such as: small toiletries (although there was hand soap and shower gel in a squeezy bottle on the wall), no drinking water, no tea/coffee machine etc
Overall, it was fine.Yes we could have complained, but there wasnt much they could have done about most of the things we would have complained about We were only staying 2 nights. It was just disappointing as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. No one asked how our stay was. Not even as we were checking out.
