The entryway needs motion sensitive lights. Luckily we had our phone flash light with.
We didn't stay - it hadn't been cleaned. However we did get a prompt refund from owner but lost the portion that VRBO takes and had to find a new place to stay at the last minute.

Good appartement with great location. Everything you need to enjoy the old Lisboa is at walking distance. The appartement is good for couple or families with two kids. The only negative thing is the strong smell of mold (in the whole building) and the toilet sewer smell. The communication with the host was good. I recommend for a short stay.

The location is excellent, but …
As other reviewers have mentioned there is an issue at time with the smells in the bathroom. There isn’t really a balcony except to hang laundry on. However the 28 Tram is 3 minutes walk away and the neighborhood is vibrant.

Great spot but bad odours coming from the bathroom , pans are old ,coffee pot to small no protective linens for pillows and no parking only paid parking , overall needs improvements . But Lisbon is a great place to visit .

Fine but not amazing
The property was perfectly fine for the price but it was not as clean or nice as the pictures appeared on the listing. There was a terrible smell of mildew/mold coming from the bathroom making the scent of the apartment very unpleasant. Also, the linens were a little bit old and run down and appeared somewhat dirty. The view in the pictures that appears to be from the apartment is very misleading as this is not from a balcony, but from a lookout point a few minute walk away. The location was good, just a 10 minute ride from the main tourist attractions and right along the tram 28 line. The size of the property was the same as the photos show and was great for 3 people.

Great location!
We really enjoyed our stay at this property as it was close to many restaurants and little supermarkets. It was very clean and well-kept. There was an odour of sewer from time to time, and we weren’t sure whether it was coming from the plumbing or from the open windows. Other than that, everything worked well, was safe, and we enjoyed our stay!

Enjoyed our stay, but we had some issues
Apartment was clean and is as shown in photos. Graca area is nice and a little away from major tourist areas. Short walk to restaurants and many tourist sites, but very steep hills if you choose to walk back. TV and internet worked great once we found the provider and pw info. I found the owner not responsive to my attempts to contact her before the visit. Instructions for check were provided in an email from VRBO in French and I received no response when emailing the owner for English instructions. The actual code to enter the apartment key holder device on the apartment doorway was in the check out (not check in) section of the French instructions, making it necessary to call for help. My phone call was answered promptly and clarification provided, in English. The shower mechanism is getting old and needs to be updated. The last two things I'll mention are items listed under the advertised amenities for the apartment, balcony and parking. There is a balcony, of sorts, but it only extends perhaps a foot from the window/door, and a string is in place so you would be tempted to step out on it. So, yes, a balcony, but don't expect to sit on it in a chair. And parking. There is parking at the end of the street, a 1 minute walk, but it was not clear to me, and it was not explained to me by the owner, how to use this parking without getting ticketed. It was not clear if it was for local residents as much of the parking seems to be in Lisbon. I did park in a garage for 10 Euro per day, which was also very close, perhaps a 4 min walk. But parking should not be shown as an amenity for this apartment in my opinion, and I would expect more assistance from the owner on parking choices in the area. We did, however enjoy our stay in this apartment, other than the issues listed.

Problems at main doors
When we arrived there was coded entrance at main door of the building, and the door lock was broken. The host knew about that problem but fail to inform us about the issue and didn't bother to wait us at the entrance with the key. So we spent one hour at the street trying to get inside and only after half an hour trying to find host telephone number and after we managed that via Vrbo the boy who had the key to the appartment said that he is on his job and we neede to wait for him for another 20 min.! Only after he came and gave us the key we could enter and leave ours baggage.

Well situated in the Old Town in Lisbon for access to cafes, shops and the "sights" locally. The apartment was larger than we thought it would be and very well appointed. Comfortable bed and sofa too. Agnes responded quickly to our questions. Thank you! We really enjoyed our stay.

A Good Choice
I agree with many earlier reviews. The apartment is in a perfect location. Although it is on a hill my wife and I are in our late 60s and we’re able to access without problems. It has more than enough space for two people. Agnes was very quick to answer any questions. I also agree with some of the suggestions for change. The towels and the bedding show signs of age. The heat barely worked and I was glad it was not colder out. It would be nice to have a top sheet. For the price it is a good choice.

Very good except the Aircon needs attention as it hardly heats up at all and must be using a lot of electricity. Also additional bedding would have been appreciated as it was quite cold and only one thin duvet was supplied

Very nice place priced right
We enjoyed our stay. The studio is small but functional. It is not easy to keep old buildings and condos in good shape but the owner has done her best with renovations. Great location, a short walk to tram 28, a fruit market in the corner and other historical sites such as St George castle and two great lookouts are walking distance for those fit to walk the hills of Lisbon and the cobblestones streets. Lisbon is such a gem, a blend of cultures and architectures. The owner is fast in responding, the wifi inside the condo works well, however the difficulty in Lisbon is that not every safe or restauran has wifi, so you need to get all the details of the check in and password PRIOR to leaving for Lisbon. Have a great stay and enjoy Lisbon.

Great location for old town Lisbon
A great little apartment closed to Tram 28 and some nice little eating spots. You need to be fit to walk up the hills and along the cobblestone paths and roads. There is only street parking just up the top of the road but that’s not a problem as you only need to pay on week days between 9.00 am and 7.00 pm and after that it is free and also all weekend. There is a 24 hour public parking facility for €10.00 per day. You can find it if your turn left as you come out of the apartment, walk to the top of the street ie up the hill, then turn right and it is on your left past the school. This is the way to go to catch the tram and to all the shops, little supermarkets and restaurants. Agnes isn’t able to speak English but does her best to communicate through the Airbnb app. Make sure you try the Portuguese tarts... they are amazing.

Nice location, comfortable and clean apartment
We were very confortable in the apartment - the bed was particularly comfortable. Everything was beautifully clean. Couple of small things could make it better: The shower was very slow to drain, so could flood, only one ring of the two-ring hob worked so if you wanted to cook you would be limited. Aside from that it was a good base from which to explore Lisbon as long as you are fit enough to walk up steep hills!

Nice location. Owner very helpful. There is everything you need in the apartment.
The apartment has a very nice location in the old area of Alfama within a walking distance of the main tourist atractions. Apolonia metro station is within 10-15 min walking distance. The apartment has all necessity equipment for a comfortable stay. Owner very helpful. Thank you Agnes.
