The apartment itself was ok; great view but a bit run down (shower head was broken) & not as clean as it could be. They are lying about the property being vacant for 48 hours prior as we saw the previous guests check out of our room on the day we arrived. However the worst thing was the check in process. It was a nightmare. We knew it was a remote check in where we would receive a door code but we had no communication leading up to our arrival. On the day of arrival it took hours to even get anyone on the phone. We had asked for early check in but this didn’t happen. We had also asked for the bed to be made up - they were still doing this after we checked in, so clearly unprepared.

The hotel was ok the check in process was pretty good. Location was near Chiado and it was pretty spacious The bathrooms had mold and mildew and so did the entrance foyer. I wouldn’t consider going back to this hotel due to the mold in the bathroom and the damage on the walls due to the shower water hitting the walls Constantly.

Nice apartment awful welcome to Lisbon
Arrived at the apartment and was disappointed to find there was no reception. I hadn’t received any additional instructions ahead of my stay. I buzzed a buzzer to disclose who I was in the street over an intercom. I then got inside and realised it was a self check in. The check in process was painful, I had to attempt to check In on a machine and then had to phone a help line when my hotel.com reference hadn’t worked. I hadn’t been sent an email from the apartments with any new booking ref numbers. At this point and email was only then promptly sent by the ‘virtual receptionist’. With the information I required. Then my credit card wouldn’t work for city tax required. So had to get back on the phone to the remote assistance. They then had to call a cleaner to come and collect the tax in cash. I understand that this company probably has several apartments around the city and to keep staff costs down they have installed these machines to check in and then have one person to act as a virtual reception if required, but having just arrived in Lisbon and not expecting this it really wasn’t the welcome I’d hoped for, this experience actually made me feel very isolated and sad. The apartment was lovely but this cold frustrating non welcome to the city completely marred my very short stay there. They might have saved money on staff but it’s cost the soul of these apartments.

The location is great. The staff were friendly. The properties need a little bit of tlc. A number of minor decorating issues needed attention. Also kitchens need coffee machines or cafetiers. The showers need attention and a door to stop the bathroom turning into a swimming pool.

Automated check-in is convenient for the landlord but, after a long travel day, figuring out the machine and having to scan passports properly was quite frustrating and impersonal. There was no one there to greet us and speak briefly about Lisbon and the proximity as with many of the other small rentals we have had in Europe. The room itself was nice. Lots of room and recently updated except for the bathroom, which had multiple problems. The hook for the shower nozzle was broken so you couldn't have a proper shower. Mold in shower stall. Water damage on ceiling. Toilet roll holder had been ripped out of the wall. Toilet flusher very loose in the wall. Screws sticking out of the wall. Water damage behind the toilet. Not very well kept overall. Maid service every day, except the only thing they seemed to do was empty the garbage - which was totally unnecessary as there were only a few things in them. Not very environmentally friendly for sure. No recycling information was given. Location is good for walking and seeing the sights. Overall not bad, but repairs are needed in the bathroom.

Excellent apartment and well located-just let down by some some love that bulbs not working and lack of a tea towel. There is no one on site- check in and other communication via a call centre.

This property was Excellent in all ways.....we had the deluxe penthouse on the top floor with 3 balconies in which 2 were facing the river. Great location, easy check in and the views were the best. We would open the windows and sliding glass door for the best breezes. This apartment was Excellent and would recommend it....I would give in 5 stars out of 5 !

This is GENUINE! I LOVED THIS PLACE. Its in Sao Bento and the neighbourhood at first glance looks like a favella but that also at another glance is beautiful. It's in old town so lots of walking but the apparment is 1000x better than expected. I recommend this place to everyone. Plus soo affordable!

The location was good. It is not too far from lisbon downtown and the tram28 stop is close by. Convinient store is close by too and great restaurants are within 15mim of walk. However i find checkin process was a little confusing even though they sent us the instructions. I couldnt find the reservation number in the email so it took long time to check in. I also expected daily towel service or cleaning but it happens every 3 day apprently according to the person (you have to skype with the front person). I hope it was written somewhere in the room. it has kitchen, pool,garden laundry etc.

A great place to stay but needs some improvement
Please see below my opinion on the appartment, rated from 1 to 5. Location - 4 Really close to the city centre, close to local shops. One star less due to the limited public transport options. Appartment itself - 5 Big and spacious, bigger than anticipated. Nice kitchen. Pool and the lovely garden. A/C. Really great. Cleanliness - 3 Mould in the bathroom, dirty pots in kitchen cupboard. No dishwasher tablets nor any other dishwashing detergents in the kitchen. Overall - 4

The apartment was comfortable and cute. Beautiful views from our balcony too. Though the service was great and the rooms and kitchen were clean, the bathroom needs much better overall attention in the maintenance area. This is not a hotel and does not have staff onsite. We knew this when booking and it was not an issue.

This Apartment is based in a residential and very hilly area. The bed was very large and extremely comfort.Check in was brilliant and free locker space to leave to leave stuff after check out. The Bathroom had no toilet paper.The towel rail behind the door was hanging off the wall and there was scrapes on the wall. There was no cleaning service on any of the 4 days we stayed there. Overall a decent place to stay,

Stayed here for one night as we needed a place to crash for an early flight out. Property wasn’t in as great condition as the pictures depict. Check-in process was relatively smooth but a kiosk check-in with no attendant might not suit all travelers. Apartment wasn’t completely cleaned. Bathroom trash wasn’t taken out after previous guest. Some hairs were noticed in the bathroom and on the towels. Mold was noticed by the shower as the shower isn’t fully enclosed and easily leaks out. Provided Wi-Fi password never worked. Insufficient lighting - bedroom only has 2 small lamps and wall light switches don’t control them. Couldn’t figure out how to turn on AC in kitchen area. Remote only controlled bedroom AC unit. Have to carry your luggage up a half flight of stairs to get to the elevator. Definitely not handicap accessible. Elevator was so small it barely accommodated me, my wife and 3 pieces of luggage. Biggest issue: lock to main entrance was not locking properly and anyone could walk in by just pushing the door. You’re probably better off staying an AirBNB.

Great location on a quite road. Very close to Bairro Alto area without the maddness of the nightlife. Tram 28 at the end of the road. The general complex was clean. The apartment unfortunately was not. Dirty bins and smell in kitchen area. Little dusty. Could do with a deep clean. We were in the 1 bedroom Superior apartment with balcony. 4 adults but it really is only suitable for 2. The bedroom is beautiful with fresh linen and plenty of wardrobe space and a safe. The living area has a sofa bed with no mattress so not comfortable. Kitchen very handy to have on a city break. Bathroom was basic but shower was powerful and always hot The garden area and pool a great addition to this apartment. Very peaceful apart from the noise of a rooster and chickens from field behind pool area. But quirky. Recommend this place but only for 2 people.

Fantastic!
The apartment was clean, well-appointed and in a fantastic location. Communication with the host was excellent and overall, we enjoyed our stay so much that we wanted to stay another night! (Alas, the apartment was already booked and not available.) The only reason I gave it four instead of five stars was that the lighting in the bathroom was a little too dim and the light bulbs in the living area needed replacement. Nevertheless, I would highly recommend this place!
