Wonderful hotel. I had dinner at the sister property around the corner and received a free glass of wine. Food was fantastic, the service left a little to be desired. About a 20-minute walk to the water via the main downtown street.

We stayed at a 8th floor room with spacious terrace facing the street. Really enjoyed a bottle of wine kindly given for my birthday. Breakfast buffet had a range of Portuguese pastries.

This is a very decent place to stay. Although it doesn't have all the vibrants in old downtown, but it is quiet and safe to walk. The hotel is nice. We can definitely tell that they spent money on updating the hotel and the rooms. In general, decent place to stay. The few areas that need improvement are: Bathroom needs more light and shower handle broken, needs better quality inspection before handing to customers. The thermostat is old and hard to control

The PortoBay Marques Hotel is a very nice hotel in Lisbon. I highly recommend staying here. The staff is excellent, even providing avvery early check-in as one of our rooms was not being occupied the previous evening. The rooms are large - both the room with the Queen bed as well as the Junior Suite. The room was impeccable - very clean as well the bathroom. The breakfast at the hotel was wonderful. We also had dinner at the hotel one evening when we were exhausted after sightseeing all day long and the food was very good. The hotel is located in a very safe and quiet area of Lisbon, near very high end stores. There are two markets about 4 blocks or so from the hotel, which one can purchase water and other items as needed. (By the way, the hotel provides a large bottle of purified/spring water daily to each room.) From the hotel, it is approximately a 20 minute walk to downtown Lisbon, but if you prefer not to walk, taxis and Ubers are readily available and they are very inexpensive (compared to US and UK prices). Walking to Avenida de Libertad is very safe - as one is actually walking through a park-like area. The Rossio Train station is only a 15 minute walk from the hotel or a 5 minute taxi/uber ride. One can use this train station to go to Sintra, much better than driving and parking there. Overall, I rate this hotel a 10/10 - and I am a very experience world traveler for over 40 years on non-stop traveling.

Beautiful hotel with an excellent location in Lisbon. Staff friendly and griots. Clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Great place to stay while in Lisbon!
