The owners were very welcoming and helpful. We hadn't seen a breakfast option on ebookers but they offered it when we arrived - and it was great, cooked to order. The room was cosy and the shower lovely and hot (just what we needed after a cold, wet day of walking). Just really great, would highly recommend.

A peaceful, relaxing stopover in Snowdonia

Pros: Great welcome, child friendly, peaceful, good size bedroom, clean, charming staff, excellent breakfast.
Cons: We would make sure we stayed on a night when the restaurant was open!
Location: Llanwrst is very close to Betws-y-coed. We stayed overnight before travelling to Beddgelert -about 30 mins away- to catch the Welsh Highland Railway.
We were made to feel very welcome at the Hotel by the gentleman who greeted us at Reception (the owner?), the cleanliness of the room and the very delicious box of chocolates! Our family room was large and airy and overlooked a beautiful meadow. The beds were extremely comfortable and we all slept really well. We were disappointed that the Hotel's restaurant wasn't open - we stayed on a Wednesday - as it has extremely good reviews online. I would recommend that you check and book if you can. We settled for Fish and Chips eaten next to the river that runs through Llanwrst, a very scenic option. The breakfast was superb and we were served again by the charming gentleman mentioned earlier. Our children had freshly cooked American pancakes with maple syrup and my husband and I had the full Welsh breakfast. High quality products very nicely cooked. Check out was easy - I am sure we will stay here again. I thoroughly recommend this hotel.
