We were looking for a nice, comfortable but larger room for our first visit to London. Like New York, most hotel rooms in London are very small so we decided to treat ourselves to a Junior Suite. We paid over 349 pounds per night and in the end felt that for that price it really was not worth it. The pictures make the property look much more luxurious than it really was. The property on a cute and quaint street near the main shopping area of the city and within walking distance to many museums. There is a much nicer hotel directly across the street with a similar name "The Knightsbridge". I UBER driver actually dropped us off there and got it confused... We only wished we had made that same mistake as that hotel was much nicer!
The building is very old and not renovated well. The furniture and fixtures in the room were very worn and strange switches that made no sense. You have to kneel down to the floor to flip a light switch on the floor outlets to turn off the lamps in the room. The bathroom was awful, again old and dated with broken floor tiles. The service was good, and the morning breakfast was excellent.. the only "good" things I would have to say. I wish I had booked elsewhere where I am sure I could have found a large but more luxurious room for that same price. After 2 nights there, we moved to the W London in Piccadilly Circus which was simply AMAZING!
