German Cockroaches
Comfort Inn - London No heater/air conditioner No fridge, table light burnt out, carpets not vacummumed even after room was made up, killed two German cockroaches. The first night one went behind the headboard and the next morning I found it and killed it the following morning there was another one in the shower which I caught and put into a clear cup. Curtains would not close properly on the windows. One dresser drawer would not shut flush against the cabinet and stuck out. Asked for another room which they did. 2nd room had a heater and air conditioner, a fridge but the carpets were dirty as well. I was in that room for three days and nobody came in to clean it. Over the course of the whole week, a room was only cleaned once. I was in London for my sister‘s cancer surgery and the condition of this hotel made things worse. This place is such a dive.

The room was dirty. There was popcorn behind the nightstand. The curtains were partially hanging off of the rod and did not close all the way. The ceiling had several water stains and part of the wall was bulging where they did a botched patch job to cover up some type of damage. Everything in that room, including the beds, were soiled in some way. We ended up sleeping on top of the bed using our own sheets.The furniture needs replacing. We tried to turn the heat on and promptly turned it off because it smelled like the room was burning. There was and old shirt hanging in the wardrobe and the iron was unusable. Needless to say it was very upsetting and overshadowed our visit to London. I will never stay in that place again!

The place was desperately in need of housekeeping. The corridors were speckled with dirt and garbage all through the 2 night trip. The bathtub had definitely not been properly cleaned between customers. There was hair all along the wall and on the side. Only redeeming grace was the guy at the front desk. He was something good in this throughly run down establishment.

Staff were friendly and helpful. On check in was given a room with no fridge or microwave. Not what we had booked. Staff immediately moved us to another room. Both rooms the bathtubs were disgusting -old, badly marked, some kind of liner in the bottom with black marks around it and patched areas. Bed was clean and otherwise room was sufficient.
