Room was average. Hotel was old and showed it. Not really kept up. Staff wasn't very friendly at check-in. Weird stairs. Only plus is across from major transportation. But I still wouldn't stay there again.

This is the oddest building layout. I specifically chose it as I’m traveling with a large, heavy case on an extensive trip and this hotel noted it has a lift. I can confirm - it has a lift, but in order to get to it, there are a LOT of stairs. Not only that, but lift does not service all floors. So, in order to get to my assigned floor 4 room, one must go up the stairs to enter the building, down 6 tight stairs to get to the lift, ride up 3 floors, exit the lift and go down 3 stairs only to take two actual steps to then go up 5 more stairs to find yourself on Floor 3. From there, there is another set of double back stairs up to the 4th floor. It is an absolutely baffling maze. For the room itself (a double, room 410), it is basic in every sense. You will feel springs in the mattress, but it is in decent shape. The bathroom was standardly British small, but sufficient. Do bring your own toiletries or pick some up at Boots across the street. There was slight noise in the night, but not enough to keep me awake - and again, you are across from the trains, so it is to be expected. The staff was loath to interact, but polite. Your additional deposit of £100 that they require onsite should be returned in 5-10 business days according to the man at the front desk. TL,DR? Fine for one night if you have no heavy luggage and don’t mind navigating a maze. I am unlikely to stay again.

2nd stay there for a quick overnight before Eurostar. Last time was fine upstairs comfy bed and clean. This time we were in a basement room. It wasn’t clean, hairs everywhere and very worn decor and in need of upgrading. Expensive for what we got, shame as it’s a perfect location. Won’t be using again

This hotel is convenient for Kings Cross / St Pancras and other Central London places. It is an old building that has been improved. The rooms are clean and afford adequate facilities for a stopover. I would stay here again when I need a night in Central London.

We hated our stay so much we switched hotels after one night. Every time we passed by the front desk, which was 4 times, someone was having an issue with their room. It didn't feel safe, every towel had stains, and the rooms were small. The only redeeming quality was the location, but even then, its not a safe area of London. It is right next to King's Cross Station. When we checked out, the staff didnt even ask why we were leaving 3 nights early. They just said "bye, I'll take your keys" and we left. From a frequent traveler, this was the worst experience with a hotel I've ever had.

Okay just for the night, basic but cheap.
Awful start, wanted ID, or demand it, yet I don’t have it because I was only in London for the day. No wifi password , they also wanted £100 deposit which I refused. The hotel is basic, but clean, walls could do with a paint in the room. The room was clean, bathroom clean, it was okay for the price, next time I ll stay at the premier in down the road, better customer service. On leaving it was a different person on reception who was lovely.
