A cheap two night stay £139, had read reviews so expectations were low! First impressions in reception awful. Man on reception not at all welcoming. Verging on ignorant! The lobby carpet is filthy. And needed a Dee clean and hoover. As did all the communal hall carpets. Disgusting. Dreaded seeing the room but was pleasantly surprised to find it acceptable. However, one single bed had a huge dip in it. And the pillows smelt a bit funky! The rainfall shower head went all over! Clearly broken. Had to turn it off to wash then back on to rinse self. The fridge and safe, also air con were useful. The room was fairy clean, in comparison to the reception and hall carpets. We had a room over looking the station. We took ear plugs so didn’t hear any noise. I’m glad I paid a cheap price, would be upset if spent any more. The location was perfect for trains, underground etc. it did the job for two nights as only used it to sleep in as busy out enjoying all London had to offer. However, the place needs a serious clean up! I can’t believe it is 3 star 🌟

What a waste of our money. Staff was rude, seemed to not care. No smiles at all. Hotel is musty and dirty. Walls are scuffed and dirty. Beds are uncomfortable pillows are horrible shower leaked all outside on the floor. Windows were broken and mildew on some features. Felt like we were in a dirty hostel.

Good area. Room was big. Dated entrance. Bathroom had chips on tiles and the wall in the bedroom really needed fresh paint. We stayed downstairs- be aware you’ll be able to hear the trains.

The photo’s on the hotels.com site are not representational of the actual hotel. It was dirty. The floor space under the bed was covered in filth, the mini fridge had what looked like bloody fingerprints on it. The shower had been patch repaired (very badly). Not sure if the beds had been changed but one pillow case had a mound stain on it. There was a damaged socket in the room (where my children were!) There was a light that wouldn’t switch off. The air conditioning was ridiculously loud and kept us awake. All in all, a horrendous hotel to stay in.

Pros: Starting with the outside, hanging baskets all very lovely. Convenient location. Front door is just round the corner from main road (ie. Not down a dark side road). Staff - pleasant, good checking in experience. Comforting knowing someone is at a front desk, particularly at night. CCTV present. Beds were comfortable. Air con effective. Shower cubicle good condition and very good range of water temperature selection. Tea and coffee facilities provided in a useful caddy and the little milk sachets are kindly chilled - And ample tea and coffee (thank you!). Useful lift but not to all floors. Good options for guests to check in and out late. Cons: First nights stay, very noisy over at Kings cross station with a group and a boombox till gone 2am; Not the hotels fault of course and limitations on building codes may restrict their window options (seemed single glazed bay type). Place seemed to be in the midst of renovation I'm guessing - lots of masking tape. Dodgy looking hairdryer which I didn't want to try. Looked like someone's whole toe nail left near the shower tray, which remained there still on day 2. Couple of long hairs on surfaces. And this odd ice cream looking splodge left in the fridge. Curtains were quite soiled. Overall - location was great, staff are pleasant but noise levels are sometimes problematic and the rooms could do with a few more minutes on cleaning.

We booked a family room of 5 ( 2 doubles a a single) but was given a room for 6 ( 4 single beds and a double) in the basement. The toilet holder is very rusted. No lock on the toilet, the TV not working with tv remote plastered at the back. Not even drinking water on arrival in the fridge. It rained on the day we arrived and ceiling was pooring just infront of our room door meaning we had to get wet to get in and out of the room. The toilet and bathroom was clean. Personally i feel it was more of a hostel than a hotel. I am glad we stayed for 2 nights only as we couldn't wait to leave. I will definitely not come back.

The place is a dump. No working tv or AC. Stains everywhere. Uncomfortable mattress. The bathroom was clean and the manager allowed us to check in early. The main plus is that is right next to the train station (St Pancras).
