They advertise this property on the website completely differently to the actual place. There is no mention of the place being located behind the restaurant bins. There is no mention that the room is on the third floor with no lifts. As I was with my wife and two kids it was particularly disappointing. Not having a second key put their movement and safety at risk. Shower is ridiculously small. I wouldn’t recommend it for families or anybody wanting to spend time in the room. I paid a lot of money for something which was probably worth half of what I paid.

Lovely clean place, very close to the station. Rooms are lovely, but a little on the small size, (as will be many I imagine in the capital). Request ground floor rooms if issues with steep stairs/ carrying luggage up them -disappointingly the gent on reception did not offer any assistance, despite me mentioning my leg injury :/ However on departure the lovely Denisa immediately came to my assistance & carried my case down the stairs for me. Thank you so much for Fab customer service Denisa! + Cosy reception area to relax in. + Some fantastic friendly staff- Bianca- the receptionist was AMAZING- Thank you so much for being so customer focused & utterly lovely :) Couple of suggestions - *Buy some more pillows!! I booked a double room, only 2 flat pillows on the double bed, requested 2 more but was told non available. *House keeping need to be more vigilant of signage on doors. I had been kindly given a 12pm checkout (normal checkout @ 11am), however housekeeping were knocking on my door @10.20am despite the ‘Do not disturb’ sign on my door. I would definitely stay here again, but would request a larger room as it got fairly hot in the small double room I was in & one on the ground floor- No fun lugging all my luggage up so many stairs. Thanks for a decent stay :)

They have given a room in a building not in the actual hotel shown in the picture.. couple of minutes walk from the Hotel.. Basic normal place to sleep.. Friend was staying in a room with in the hotel and dit was very nice. Hopefully next time will get a room with in the hotel

The hotel has very poor sound insulation.The bathroom has no heating. The staff in the dining room is slow.Breakfast is good, but it often runs out of certain dishes and cutlery.The location of the hotel is very good for sightseeing in London.

Enjoyed my stay, met all my requirements.

Staff was amazing, breakfast also really good. Bed was comfortable. In my opinion this hotel had everything to make me feel conformed and more at home.

Lukcy 8 Hotel

Pros: The rooms were very clean and the furniture was very good.
Cons: They probably need more parking space.
Location: T
This hotel is quite good. The rooms were nice, clean and spacious. The heating was good and easily controllable. There was even a hair dryer in one of the draws.

Lovely, attentive staff,very clean room.

I had been a bit worried as I saw a couple of reviews saying about it being a dodgy area, however I found it to be in a nice street and we went into Ilford for dinner and found people to be warm and pleasant. We had an excellent meal at an indian vegetarian restaurant. I came in from London Liverpool Street to Ilford station and it was only about four or five stops away. The hotel was then in very close walking distance from the station. Rooms were very clean and the staff were lovely. There were three of us staying and the room was as in the photos. The others staying had a large van and they got a parking place without any bother. I would thoroughly recommend.this hotel.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff!

We stayed here for my birthday and had a lovely time. Very close to the Ilford train station and provides a nice breakfast. My girlfriend had asked the hotel to put balloons and chocolate in our room before we arrived which they did :) and were very accommodating.
