Despite being a small and somewhat older establishment, the Mitre House Hotel was quite comfortable. Once I got used to the layout of the area, it was also convenient for getting around the city. It was a very short walk from Paddington station and from a bus that took you right to the center of the city. I found the staff to be very friendly and quite helpful In total, it was a reasonably priced place to stay in London and I would certainly stay there again.

Cozy family owned hotel. Very simple and traditional style but super clean and friendly. The streets are quiet and beautiful despite the fact that this is a central location and so close to the tube with several lines including Elizabeth and the Heathrow express. Breakfast was simple but good with several options to choose from and a friendly staff. Will stay here again.

Have stayed here many times before with my parents (Brad and Maggie) and will definitely be staying here again. This hotel is always clean and the service is outstanding. They have a delicious and filling full English breakfast and are steps from Paddington station. Cannot recommend Mitre House enough!

Not for us.
For us, this just wasn’t the hotel for us. Photos look great, but rooms are dated, old and needed a good splash of paint. There was no room to stand with two suitcases and the bed. The inside of the bedding was that used it was yellow, and really worn. This might be perfect for someone, but it just wasn’t for us. We moved hotels the second we saw the bedding. They do state there’s no aircon, which we knew, but there was a heatwave in London, and the room was unbearable.

We had an incredible stay here. The location is great, with Paddington station a short walk away. It's also in such a beautiful neighborhood, especially with Hyde Park being so close. Every staff member was so kind and wonderful. Would highly recommend staying here.
