A few grumbles
I booked this based on its good reviews. Although it was basically fine, I was disappointed by a few things:
1. Check-in: I found the staff rather offhand and the process of issuing my room key etc surprisingly slow. That created a bad, unwelcoming initial impression.
2. Room: the bedside lights weren't working. I also banged my head on the sharp edge of the clothes rail shelf above the luggage table, which is poorly designed and hazardous.
3. Eco: not great to find soap bar and disposable bottles of shampoo/body wash rather than dispensers.
4. Access: it's frustrating that you can't use a staircase to get to the second floor but have to wait for the lift, which is slow to arrive because it serves all the many floors above.
Great value for money, tube is a 10 min walk. Tooting market which is nearby has a versatile selection of quality restaurants. Furthermore the hotel staff provide an excellent service and the bar offers a 2 4 1 on beers on happy hour between 5-7pm. I highly recommend.
The room was very small and there was no table or chair /place to use to comfortably use my laptop. The price was good for the facilities though and there are plenty of restaurants and cafes within walking distance as the hotel does not have a restaurant. The hotel is in the grounds of St George's University Hospital do you can also use the cafes there. It is good for a 1 night stay. Well served by public transport
The heating in the room was very good
The hotel is in a nice location easy access to transport and shopping, nice and friendly staff.

Perfect for hospital visits
The hotel was perfect for us as we were at St George’s hospital. The lobby was lovely and clean and the lady on the desk was polite and friendly. They exchanged our room to an accessible one as my partner is in a wheelchair which was very useful. The bed was firm but comfortable, the sheets clean. The heating controls in the room were either really hot or freezing cold, and this isn’t helped by the sheer icy tiled floor which is slippery when wet the bathroom was good but some of the features such as grab rails were incredibly rusty and needed replacingz
The restaurant was out of use- not sure how long it has been.
The only negative was the cleaners were hoovering and banging outside our door loudly this morning at 7:30am when check out isn’t till 11. There was also lots of loud talking and banging of doors by staff on the corridor which kept us awake.
Staff are lovely, rooms was clean, carpets need changing or a good clean, facilities was good nice and quiet too, maybe a bed topper for extra comfort would be good. Overall would stay again
Staff are not the friendliest or the most welcoming. Rooms a bit tired, dark and shabby but it is clean and perfectly good if you are only there for ease of access to the hospital in which regard it is perfect.

Very close to the hospital, need to go onto the hospital grounds to access the hotel. For the money the stay was good.
