Annoying start but not too bad in the end.
No gluten free food options available on the evening menu. Not a great start. Walls are paper thin so you can hear everything from next room.

Room was modern but lighting and bathroom facilities were confusing! Lights had a mind of their own.. just kept pressing buttons until they came on but all weird. Water went off in the night so had to ring hotel from mobile to get them to fix it, there was no phone in the room. No milk provided fur tea and coffee, empty fridge! Breakfast was terrible, cold food, no bacon, tiny croissants which tasted artificial. £15 extra to park. Hotel staff did their best but still lots here to sort out and pointless bar, no alcohol and no atmosphere which is a shame because it’s a new hotel and could be so much better.

I stayed here for about a week and would not recommend to anyone. Ventilation never worked properly in my room and I was in a hot humid room the entire time. Even after complaining several times, they didn’t care to be helpful. Also, house keepers barged into my room several times without knocking. Staff claimed there was no microwave when they actually have one, I can’t understand why they would do that. Overall terrible service with no privacy or comfort.

An Unexpected But Excellent Stay
We were staying at the Premier Inn around the corner from this hotel but had a terrible time, so we booked into the Southgate London hotel and it was fantastic. The staff were so friendly and very helpful. The rooms were cleverly designed with mod cons, smart tv, heated mirror in the bathroom with Bath House products. I liked the laminate flooring which seemed a lot cleaner than the usual carpeted floors. I was very pleasantly surprised how well thought out this hotel was. The breakfast didn't have the biggest selection but it was more than enough. It's literally a 2 minute walk from Southgate tube station. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
