The new part of the hotel that had been refurbished was great, we had a room booked in that section. We also had a second room booked which was in the older part of the hotel, which wasn't as up to date and modern. The hallways had seen better days. The staff were all friendly and helpful, no issues in that department. Even had a refund from the London pub when the calamari was not edible. Breakfast had a good selection of cooked and continental buffet. It was a bit too busy from 8:30am till 9:30am with the morning rush.

Basic room twin beds scoot about on laminated floor, no body lotion. Noisy plumbing and poor sound insulation. Dull decor and mean tea and coffee in room. No free drinking water obvious and none in room.

Room 3055 (handicapped) the safe was waaaay to low…couldn’t use it…can’t get down or back up, the shower opening is not wide enough for maneuvering in when you’re handicapped…Wensy was very helpful when the desk refused to help us with luggage (I am on a motorized wheelchair) as we had arranged for the day before, front desk check in was far too slow when we arrived and the food smells in our room started at 5 am and continued till 8 at night which was strong and nauseating at times…the food was good though, too reiterate the front desk was frustrating and not helpful

Ovepriced budget-hotel with poor amenities, poor service and limited low-quality breakfast. No minibar/fridge inside room, only liquid soap (and they will never refill it), too little storage space for clothes and luggage, single-sided breakfast. The room equipment is overall basic, but functional, budget-hotel category. The price per night is above mid-range, which is odd. Even according to London's standards, this hotel offers too little for the price charged. Cleanliness uneven: clean bed sheets, hotel is very clean overall, excellently clean bathroom, but water heater was dirty, dust unwiped from furniture. Elevator only works with the room's magnetic card, which demagnetizes frequently. It happened to me twice during my 6-night stay. Heavy English breakfast. Limited. It's all the same every day. Poor quality ingredients. Literally everything is the cheapest, lowest quality from the ham slices down to the sausages. Overcrowded mass-accommodation: you have to wait for ages to take the tight elevator, which in general is full with people. As for breakfast: you have to stand in line to wait for a table and you have to maneuver between the crowd to get seated. Location is good: near Russel Square, close to the British Museum and not far from Euston Train Station.

Disappointed by amenities in room. I double socket not near beds. One shelf between beds, most of room on shelf taken up by large phone. Shower was very dated, turning hot and cold taps to get temp right. Toilet roll holder broken. Ripped paper in hall outside our room however staff very helpful and not worst hotel I have stayed at.

Room comfortable and lovely duvet and pillows. Shower difficult to get right temperature as too hot. Excellent onsite evening food in “ The London Pub” and breakfast provided a good selection but was basic table and chairs.

Very good hotel excellent breakfast Room good but my wife complained that there was no mirror and shelves close together for using straighteners or for grooming your hair otherwise very good Great pub on site lively place good meals for around £25

We didn’t have breakfast included but the room was very clean (they cleaned it everyday) and had everything we needed. The staff was really kind and attentive. Our window didn’t close properly but we managed with the heating:))

Firstly we are talking about the centre of London so the price reflects the location and convenience to the theatre district. The hotel was uninviting, the lobby was bland with no seating and poor signage to rooms. The corridors to the rooms were very dated with peeling dirty wallpaper and felt like a hostel. The room was extremely dated and uninspiring. No artwork. There was literally one plug socket no USB. The bathroom has not be reburbished from I would say the 70s and you need a step ladder to get in the bath. In fairness though it was clean enough. The room was hot with no air conditioning. The window which was filthy did open though although our position was overlooking ugly roofs and was near a pub or club and music was playing until about 2 am so couldn’t sleep. The breakfast was fair with traditional English and some yogurts and pastries . The environment however was like a college cafeteria with plastic white tables and chairs crammed in with hardly any room between seats. The staff were pleasant enough though. We stayed for one night to go to the theatre so it was manageable and the price reflected the location but I would probably prefer to stay in a premier inn if it was available
