They dont change towels or clean after you. The ahower floors get super wet because theres no step out of the shower or shower door ans stays like that brcause they never came to mop the floors or whatsoever.
Bad experience, annoying, feels like the train is behind your room, uncomfortable, the hotel is like a prison, no windows, no table, no phone, no TV in the room, no closet, no safety box, no room cleaning, no eminites you have to pay for the luggage room if it is 1 hour… , the hotel is on the 4th and 5th floor underground..

You can’t fault the location at all. However, I’m giving this a one star review because of the noise. The hotel does advertise that it’s underground but doesn’t disclose that it’s directly above the metro system. You will need to get used to the noise of a passing train every 5 minutes. I didn’t sleep at all. Also, beware of the £15 charge to store a small bag after check out.
The rooms were very basic and beds are very low to the ground the rooms were very clean and tidy.
The room was nice and warm with the opportunity of air conditioning if needed.
Service was very poor and slow and no help especially with it being a first time staying at this hotel and Also no guidance from when you enter the building on where to go.
I would stay again but not in a rush.
Rooms were clean and staff were friendly but common areas around the rooms had a horrible smell. Was a novelty staying in these below ground rooms but wouldn’t do it again was a maze to try and find your room and room numbers unnecessarily complicated. Would pay the little bit extra for premier Inn.
Great place to go for everything you need! The staff were super friendly and helped out with whatever I needed. No windows in the rooms but having stayed at a few Zedwells now that’s the norm - and for good reason. Zedwell is purely a place for sleep, meaning you get a super comfy mattress and no windows to leak the light in. You can be subject to noise from the tube early in the morning but for the price I wouldn’t complain
When we got to the hotel the guy at the reception didnt even bother looking in the eyes or asking if we were ok. He literally just said
‘Name for checkin’. From there it has been one thing after the other for a terrible staying.
Please dont waste money. It is not worth it!
The rooms( that are literally underground, so if you suffer of claustrophobia, definitely dont book)are super loud because literally under the underground. They provide ear plugs but they dont even cover the talking and snoaring you can hear from the room next to you. The walls are so thin you can actually feel part of the conversation.
I am pregnant and i needed 2 extra pillows for sleeping on my side. I went down to reception asking for them and they were so rude about it, repeating they didnt have any. Then i said i was pregnant and magically the pillows appeared.
The mattress are super small. Two average size people will fit just about. Super small!
If you go on their website, they are proud of how you are gonna sleep with them.
Trust me, you wont!
Last amazing thing: we ask to leave suitcase, they charge you!!! 2 bags 15£!!! When you ask why, they will say to you
‘Eventually every hotel in the world will because the economy is bad and hotels need to make money!’
Again, avoid booking with them!!!
This is a great location but a very basic room. As the title suggests, this hotel is underground so there are no windows and the rooms are small. I would say it would be a struggle to have two people with two suitcases in the room. There are only two hooks for storage - no drawers, no wardrobe.
If you are a light sleeper, be warn that you can hear the underground trains going past.
For me, this room was everything I needed - a clean shower and a bed. I spent little time in my room and was looking for somewhere, near Oxford Street, to sleep.
Based on the photos on this site i was looking forward to my 2 night stay. The location is ideal. On arrival i entered the ground floor area, there was a deak with no one at it, with little to no clear instructions i waited. After about 5 mins a nice couple entered, clearly staying here and advised me that i needed to go to floor -4 for reception.
When i arrived at reception, rather than being spoken to and my details taken, i was ushered to a crap tacky digital display to carry out a self check in, why do some hotels think that this is acceptable, the point of booking a hotel is to engage with people, not a screen.
Having completed the check in i went down another floor to -5 and found the room. While reasonably sized, it lacked any kind of storage or hanging space, more than one night here would be a challenge, one which i attempted and failed. All of my clothes strewn across the floor, living out of a suitcae is not suitable for any business trip. I will not be booking this one again.
Great stay, fit for my purpose which was a single night stay. Slight odour to the room, not foul but definitely odd. Good lighting setup considering no windows. You can feel the tube line when trains pass but no other sound. Comfortable stay!
Perfectly OK for a quick overnight stay when you’re late in and up early. Saves on wasting money on a london hotel when all you need is a decent sleep.
