We were very confused about all the “excellent” and “outstanding” reviews for this motel. It was very typical of a budget motel; small room, basic amenities, clean-ish, in okay shape. It was fine for a budget motel, but not somewhere you’d want to hang out all day.

The bed sheets did not seem clean had stains. The light from outside filtered thru the blinds directly to face when trying to sleep, AC a little to noisy.

Very convenient to get to the Mt Whitney portal and plenty of food places around. The staff appear to be a family that live on the property so they’re very aware of security issues. I’d definitely stay there again and cheaper than other places. I’d only recommend taking a travel soap bar since they only give out those tiny ones and have not converted to liquid dispensers like some other motels/hotels.

Pleasantly surprised. Could it used a deep clean? Yes, but overall I was happy with my choice. Clean, stain free towels and sheets, functioning AC and refrigerator (didn't use microwave) and outstanding water pressure in the shower. I think another guests AC compressor was struggling and that did wake me, but I would stay again.

Top sheet on bed was stained. I had hotel change it, and the first replacement sheet was also stained. The second replacement sheet was less stained. I concluded that all of the sheets were probably stained, so I accepted it. Outside security lighting streaming through the window shutters coupled with truck noise from adjoining Hwy 395 made sleeping difficult.

Great place to crash after climbing Mt Whitney. Clean and comfortable. The mini fridge would get noisy randomly and did wake me up in the morning.
