Unsafe & Unclean - WE LEFT As Soon As We Could
Reserved 11 nights, stayed 2. We left as soon as I could book a different Vrbo! NOT CLEAN: After two hours of walking barefoot inside the house, the bottom of my feet were BLACK with sticky grime from the floor & carpets. The refrigerator had been emptied but not cleaned. One shelf had sticky dark dried-up spills. The dark brown sheets on one bed had fur on them when we arrived. No fur on them once I washed them. I found stuck on food on more than one of the plates. Had to soak & wash the dishes before using them because I didn’t feel like I could trust that any of them were truly clean. I spent the entire first day we were there cleaning and still couldn’t get it clean enough to feel ok staying there. NOT SAFE: There was evidence (blackened paint) of a past electrical burn above an electrical outlet in a bedroom. The refrigerator (built in) was not anchored properly. It swayed when I wiped the inside refrigerator shelf with a Chlorox wipe. Made me nervous to have something that large so easily rocking back and forth. When I pulled gently on the kitchen table to move it away from the wall so we could sit behind it (it was pushed all the way against wall with only 2 chairs accessible) half of the table top fell off because the table was broken. The wooden countertop in the kitchen is too close to the gas cooktop on the stove. In more than one spot the wooden countertop shows charring from the flames. YES I have pictures documenting these things.

Comfort in a time of need
We rented this house for a family funeral. It was so nice to be able to come back to the quite quaint home after the day.
