I have 3x delightfully restored beach cottages in South Redondo a block from the beach-located on the same grounds as both other beach cottages (BBC1 & BBC3).
The Burnham Beach Cottage(s) was built at the turn of the century originally as a B&B with many cottages......We are a unique property so please feel free to email us with any questions or requests.

Simply put……a B&B experience with the privacy & independence of a vacation rental…...


This cottage comprises 1 bedroom, living room with comfy queen-size sofa/futon bed, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with clawfoot tub with shower and grounds where you can BBQ, relax in the grounds or just take in the evening sunsets on your porch. You will be provided with ironed bed linens, bath & beach towels, wi-fi, TV, iron & ironing-board, bath salts so as to enjoy the claw-foot tub to the fullest.
Please note the cottage is ideal for 2 but can accommodate 4. * Nightly rate is based on 2 people sharing

Enjoy the ocean & views within minutes from the cottage. Walk,stroll,jog or ride the coastline path that starts here in Redondo and goes all the way to Malibu; ...easily engage in surfing, swimming, volleyball, walking, running, skating, biking, hiking....there's heaps to do in these beach cities & the list continues....art/food/music festivals, outdoor movies in the parks/on the beach, international volleyball tournaments to watch, or if you would rather just relax in our gardens or on the beach and do nothing... you can do that too...
Varied selection of restaurants/cafes are on hand.
We are a quintessential SoCal beach town,close to LA without being in the hectic-ness of LA. All is easily accessible by freeways, public transportation, sightseeing tours pick-up at local Redondo Beach hotel.
Enjoy LA in a beach oasis- it makes coming to LA quite a different experience...

Adorable place so so so close to the pier!!!
We had a great stay and fell in love with the whole vibe of Redondo Beach, or the tiny bit we latched onto for such a short trip. I did suffer an odd spell of “vertigo” while getting ready for dinner since the cottage does lean towards the bathroom. My fiancé reminded me that tile and a claw-foot tub will do that to a place. We found the hummingbirds that danced around in the morning to be so engaging and exciting! Would highly recommend for quick trips.

Perfect Little Bungalow
Small, but provided everything needed for two. Beautiful breezes day and night blew through the cottage. We enjoyed the gardens. The kitchen was well equipped for 2. Location close to the beach, the pier, restaurants, and in town, yet tucked into a quiet spot on a residential street. Street parking was a little difficult sometimes. But we would stay again.

Pleasant beachy cottage
We really love it in this place and think we will come back for a week long stay rather than the few days we normally do. Everything here is about the beach and the decor makes you feel you are exactly there. It's a short walk away from the water and there are many garden nooks to put up your feet and just read. Next time, we will make the time to do just that.

My conversations with Wendy were wonderful. I rented the property for two nights to prepare for my daughters wedding which was taking place in the area. We enjoyed our stay at this lovely cottage. Wendy, the owner, was super nice. The place was so cute with all sorts of historic charm right down to the hardware on the doors and cabinets. Very clean & well cared for. We enjoyed the ironed sheets on the comfortable bed. Cute little court yard nice and quiet. Excellent location just a few blocks from the beach. We had a nice morning walk on the strand each day. I would recommend this property.

Just what we needed!
We visited the LA area to have a long weekend with my boyfriends son and girlfriend who live in Redondo and celebrate my boyfriend's daughter's birthday. We wanted our own place but have often stayed at a local hotel. We chose BBC due to location, privacy and peacefulness and that is exactly what we got. It's cozy for sure but it had everything we needed and the courtyard is a lovely way to start or end the day. I even lost $180 that accidentally fell out of my purse and David, a neighbor within the property contacted the owner (Wendy) who tracked us down and returned the money. It was a miracle that it was returned and shows there are still good people out there. Thank you David AND Wendy! I would recommend this to anyone.

Family vacation
We spent the last couple days of our vacation here after 4 days at Disneyland, and it was a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the nearby beaches and restaurants. Perfect location as a base to explore and walking distance to the pier. We were here with our 2 kids, ages 6 and 9, and the futon provided plenty of extra sleeping space for them. Wendy's cottage (we stayed in BBC#2) was everything we expected after reading the description and reviews on the website. Don't expect anything spacious, but the cottage is perfect for two people and loaded with charm and nostalgia. Wendy (the owner) is amazing and clearly puts a great deal of TLC into the cottages and property. The way the cottage was decorated, the grounds and different sitting areas - it was all incredibly charming and comfortable. Very short walk to pier and boardwalk. Would HIGHLY recommend this property. Next time we come to Redondo we will be checking to see if any of the cottages are available. Thanks for being such an amazing hostess Wendy!
