So first time in Ontario wanted a nice hotel Doubletree was the most expensive in the city about $200 a room and it is the nastiest hotel that I’ve been to. You would at least expect a nice and clean room for that price. AC doesn’t work very few lighting, smells like cigarettes in the hallways and in the room. Bed sheets are dirty and their lights stands have dust on them anywhere you look or touch is dirty.

Abhorrent stench—cat urine or meth??
We were traveling with our high school aged son so we wanted a room with a little more room. We reserved the two-bedroom suite option. $295 plus taxes and fees. We checked in late in the evening after arriving on delayed flights. We were exhausted. We got to our room (1107) and were overwhelmed by the stench of cat urine in the second bedroom where the king size bed was. We sprayed a little hair spray and perfume from our bags to mask the smell to no avail. Too tired to go to the lobby, complain and change rooms, we just went to bed. I took me almost an hour to fall asleep even covering my head with an extra pillow to dull the stench. I notified hotel staff in the morning about the situation. They refunded $100. Kind and understanding, they are looking into it. A nice gesture but frankly I would not even pay $50 for a room that smelled like that. Let alone $240.

I was attending a wedding. I am in the wedding. The reason I booked was because I was told I would be able to early check-in to get ready for the wedding. That was a lie and they gave me a room that was so far from the wedding event. overall, the stuff was rude mean I was treated like a peasant
