I don’t know who wrote the reviews for this hotel but they are not accurate. This place is run down & in a bad neighborhood. Parking was tight & not much of it. I’m not sure I can trust hotels.com reviews any longer.

I can’t recommend hometel suites enough. Before arriving I was nervous as I didn’t know much about the area and the hotel was such a great price, I thought what’s the catch. From the moment I walked through the door, I was welcomed with warm smiles and kindness from the staff. I was immediately lent an adaptor plug for my phone charger as I’d forgotten mine and told that I could keep it for the remainder of my stay. My room was spacious and immaculately clean. The hotel is situated in great location. Where you have great restaurants near by, I particularly recommend checking out the Korean bbq restaurants. There are also very good coffee shops and gyms within 5-10 mins walk. If your looking to move around L.a this is also a great location as it’s close to bus stops and a 5 minute walk away from the train stations which grants easy access to all the hotspots of the city including Hollywood. I’d also like to mention for anyone who may be wondering that koreatown is a very safe and friendly place. Thank you hometel suites for a wonderful experience on my first visit to L.a.

The reviews for this hotel must be fake or people were paid for it. This place was a DUMP! Shoddy renovations, they didn’t care to even cover the holes/paint over their mistakes. The bathroom was so dirty and disgusting, the shower wouldn’t drain, tub was leaky. The parking was awful. theres 6 or 7 spaces upstairs, and you cannot park downstairs until 9pm but you have to move your car by 10am so if you need to park between 10a-9pm and theres no space upstairs, you are screwed. The neighborhood is sketchy, and no parking either. One block away from the hotel there was a row of homeless living in tents on the Sidewalk on Catalina Street between 8th and James Wood Blvd. I started to get itchy staying at the hotel so we had to check out early and find another place.
