It's hard to believe that this is a Hyatt. The rooms are sparse and non-descript, as is the lobby. We were hoping to have a nice dinner at the hotel, but the only restaurant in the hotel reminded me of a Motel 8. But they do charge prices that you'd expect in a nice restaurant! $14 for a beer, $60 steaks, $38 for breakfast! If I'm going to pay those prices, I expect a little ambiance! In the morning we went to make coffee in the room and... no cups of any kind! After waiting a half hour for housekeeping to bring some, we gave up and paid $5 for coffee in the restaurant. Oh, and they're doing construction in the lobby so you get to listen to that while you eat. When we checked out they didn't even ask how our stay was. There are much nicer hotels around LAX. I would avoid this one.

The area was not necessarily the safest but it was convenient from the airport. Some rooms more spacious than others but had everything you needed. Gym was decent.

Lied to about bed size.
The front desk told me that I had a king bed, as requested on Hotels.com. The bed was a small double, not even a queen. The front desk person lied. When I called from the room, the attendant said that I was not guaranteed a king because I came though a 3rd party, Hotels.com. She had a bad attitude too.
