It was great! Stayed for a night, they gave food u could find at a gas station but it was free so it was great. Shower was clean, bed was comfortable, owner was nice. Only thing is that the walls are thin so you can hear people walking in and out of their room but it isn’t to bad of a problem because everyone is nice

A very good transit hotel
This is an older property and in some ways shows it's age - worn furniture corners, tired paint - but in the important areas was quite acceptable. Excellent bed. Very easy and friendly check-in. Very quiet room appliances such as the refrigerator and HVAC. It's on a fairly major thoroughfare and yet had little traffic noise. A good place to stay while in transit as we were.

Great stay, close to Universal!!!
We really enjoyed our stay here. We stayed in a King room and the pictures of the room were accurate. The room was clean and we felt safe in the motel and the area. We were under 5 miles away from Universal Hollywood. The bus stop was across the street, but we didn’t use it. We will definitely stay here again next time we come to Universal!!! Thanks for a great stay

I’m not sure why this property got so many good reviews. This motel is pretty dated and not a place to get a good night’s sleep. The bed offers no support and the pillows are just bundles of filler. The room furniture is scratched up and dated, at least the shower area was nice. The walls are pretty thin so expect to hear someone’s tv or other night time activities. Check in and check out were easy, the staff is nice but that is about the only positives I can share about this motel. I’d say ignore the reviews and find somewhere else to stay.

Gross bed and shower. The bedsheet has stains, there were hair on the pillows already. There’s also hair on the shower before we use it. Overall when the property seems organize but I can’t believe they have dirty sheet and let the bathroom like that before guest check in. We arrive late and too tired to deal with it. Definitely not going back.

Great value for the price
The Portofino Inn is a really great value. It was perfect for our family's quick stay after spending a day in Universal Studios. The inside of the room is surprisingly modern. We just had a small hiccup with figuring out the cable, but it was easy to call the front desk for assistance in figuring it out. it's in a great location: we ate dinner at the Islands just around the corner and super close to the 5 Freeway. We would definitely stay here again!
