Front staff was friendly enough. Room was huge and nicely designed. However the room was stuffy and air conditioning did not work. The area surrounding the hotel was not good and kinda scary. For example, the hotel staff had to buzz you into the hotel entrance. There is not actually a restaurant/bar in the hotel as advertised. It’s next door and seems more like a bar/club setting without food options.

Tenderloin Vibes
in town for Halloween party. the property itself is great but we were not prepared for the neighborhood. when the desk clerk found out we were from the Bay Area he said that area had "Tenderloin vibes" and boy was he right. still made the best of it and enjoyed the stay

One of the hosts was very rude to us and threatened to kick us out when we did nothing wrong, all we did was try to check out the rooftop. Overall the suite we stayed at was nice and great for the occasion.

There was musty smell in the bedrooms due to insufficie t ventilation of bathroom and room AC not being effective. Secondly we felt very unsafe in the neighborhood. There was a bar next to hotel and drunk people were hanging out near the hotel door. No security gurad either. No praking! You have to haul your luggage from parking which is not convenient and safe in the downtown neighborhood. Lot of homeless and shady people on the street. Very noisy at night. We used our own sound machine at might for getting some sleep.

Not recommended if you have young kids and a car. The property was great, huge space and great service. We initially booked for 3 nights but we checked out the next day because we needed to walk 3 blocks for the parking (and it is very expensive) and it is unsafe for kids to walk in and out of the hotel and walk on the streets. It was also noisy the entire night, sirens and loud sounds in the streets. But overall, hotel service was excellent because they refunded us with all the remaining nights without questions asked. If you are travelling solo or without a car. This hotel will be perfect for you.

Great Hotel!
We loved our stay! The hotel room was big, clean and provided us with everything we needed including a full kitchen. Neighborhood is rough but you can’t escape that in DTLA. Staff was friendly and we enjoyed our stay!

The hotel was in a great location in DTLA. The room itself was clean and whilst some parts did need a clean (cutlery and where wiring was exposed) and ice, the reception staff did their best to accommodate as needed. Locationwise, it’s half an hour to an hour drive to Santa Monica, Disneyland and other attractions but local buses can take you there. Don’t be put off by what some say about the location as it was very safe, secure and friendly. Would stay again.
