Welcome to Malibu 5 Unit I. This masterfully curated complex, aptly named The Malibu 5, is home to a collection of rare and private beachfront units. Re-launched in April 2023 as a joint venture with Fieldtrip Hospitality, you'll find yourself consumed in style, views and unmatched hospitality.

“Lucky are those who live in Malibu”. Welcome to your private 1 bedroom unit right on the water. Located on the upper level of the complex, you'll be captivated by the sprawling ocean views from your private oversized balcony with outdoor seating and fire pit.

Let the scent of the waves waft through the sliding glass door and into your spacious open concept living space. Featuring high speed internet and a SmartTV, you can stream your favorite shows and movies from the comfort of your plush sofa. Adjacent to the living room is the dining area for 3 with ocean views. The chef of the group will find everything they need in the well appointed kitchen, featuring upgraded appliances and finishes. Off the kitchen, you'll find the custom full bath with a walk-in rainfall shower. Enjoy our offering of toiletries or bring along your favorites. Step into your immaculate master suite, featuring a seating area with Smart TV. Fall into your plush sheets draped on your king bed, while drifting to sleep along with the waves.

Be sure to take some time to explore the community deck, featuring fire pits, BBQ, outdoor lounge, outdoor dining, and ENDLESS views. This deck is accessible to all 5 units in the complex. The community deck is accessible 24/7, but quiet hours are strictly enforced from 10pm – 7am.
The Malibu 5 is conveniently located walking distance from the famous “Moonshadows” bar and restaurant - a New American eatery with a large deck overlooking the ocean. For those looking to explore, there is plenty of shopping and restaurants 5 minutes away by car.

Fantastic!
Beautiful property with breathtaking views and an incredible rocky beach all to yourself! Such a great spot for a peaceful getaway close to everything in the city. I loved waking up to the sound of crashing waves. The hosts were very helpful throughout or stay and we will definitely be back soon.

You cannot beat the views! Loved waking up to the sound of the ocean every day. House is a pictured, although could use a fresh coat of paint. I think it's an older property but renovated nicely. I would just recommend if staying for a longer period of time and more than one person to ask for more towels up front. I was there for a long weekend with a friend and we only had 1 towel each. Maybe mgmt could put extra towels in the closet. The sliding door doesn't close 100% either. However this did not change my overall view of the property. It was a truly wonderful stay. Moonshadows is within walking distance too.

Worst stay ever at short term lease and dealing with Fieldtrip
Arrived on friday evening and place was full gnats everywhere, kitchen, bathrm dozens on glass enclosure around shower. The bathroom sink would not drain, Called manager took 3 hrs for maintenance to arrive when told they would be there at 11 am was after 2 pm before arrival. Then around noonish a rep of the owner showed and was going to take all cushions off of benches on lower deck by beach. I asked him to leave and leave the cushions. Informed him our check out was 11 the next day on sunday. Then this fool showed up at 6:45 on sunday to take cushions again... Again asked him to leave and leave the cushions and reminded him our check out was at 11 am. Then around 2pm the cleaning service shows while we are in the common area which i had just washed the sand off concrete with the hose keeping clean.. And he starts washing again during our stay interrupting our time that afternoon. Just constant interruptions during our stay that was intended to be special wkend for my gf and I. Definitely pissed by this time with no privacy. Constant intruruptions, between working on plumbing , wanting to take cushions. It was so upsetting we cleaned up and checked out at 8 am on sunday to get the hell out of there. Why would person show up and want to take all the cushions off of the benches in beach area while occupied for a wkend. and plus arrive before 7 am on a sunday. Claiming taking to get them reupholstered on Sunday... lol First time using Vrbro and last. Marvin
