Wow!
My wife and I stayed here for six nights with two children ages 6 & 9. Everyone loved it. If you like the sound of waves rolling onto a beach a few feet away, then you will love this. If you don't like listening to or looking at the ocean, this isn't for you. The home has two separately listed units; "Walls of Glass" is at PCH level, and is two flights of stairs down to the beach. "Walls of Glass on the Sand" is one flight of stairs underneath, one flight of stairs above the sand. One thing we were pleasantly surprised by was the lack of road noise. I assumed we would hear several exotic cars being put to the test on PCH, espeially during the weekend, but the waves were far more prevalent.
The beach is fantastic, and for someone who grew up in Southern California it was surreal having such a beautiful beach to ourselves several times. You won't always have the beach to yourselves, but for us, more often than not, we did. This alone should put the place on the radar for someone in LA looking for a 'staycation' without the hastle of traveling. Often saw sea lions playing in the water, and on one occasion even saw a pod of dolphins.
The unit is well appointed and efficient. Open living room has a comfortable leather sofa with chair, along with a small dining table that seats four comfortably and a table on the outdoor deck that can also seat four. There is a bar by the efficient kitchen with three stools as well.
