Located centrally in the downtown you never needed your car. Rooms were spacious and had everything we needed. Balcony overlooking the harbor was a plus. Staff was very helpful when we needed extra coffee and cream and in giving ideas for dinner.

The property was fantastic! Great room with lots of windows and views of the harbor. Hayley was absolutely awesome to deal with and we cant wait to come back. Wish we were staying more than the 1 night!

Rumrunner is right on the main street of Lindenberg, which makes it very easy to walk to the harbor which the backside faces, including a little veranda that you can sit on and look at the water if you don’t have a waterfront view from your room which we did not. Great restaurants and shopping right out the door. We went on an excellent walking tour of Lunenburg easy to reach on foot charming town great history. Our room had super comfortable bed and great shower The only reason I give this a four and not a five is that the entrance/reception area and first floor where owners live could be improved to be more charming not cluttered, carpeting on stairs is dayed/brown indistrial with detracts from the rest of the charm od the oropert.

Fantastic location. Beautiful view. But, for the price, I would expect the room to be more nicely furnished. Felt a bit like a hostel rather than a nice hotel. We also could have done without the cleaning supplies being stored in the open outside our room - how about some flowers on the landing instead?

Rum Runner Lunenburg
We stayed two nights at the Rum Runner in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. We stayed in two different rooms due t availability on our dates but staff moved our luggage for us which was great. Both rooms had nice decks, one was outdoors and the other was enclosed. We overlooked the water which was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations. The town of Lunenburg was so picturesque and fun to walk around. We didn’t need a car as we were able to walk to everything.

Didn’t like the “sunroom.” All closed-up…windows hard to open/didn’t stay open. Furnishings were old-looking. Nice bed and bedding. Great location. Parking was very difficult. Staff were friendly.

Stunning harbor view
This is a great place in a fabulous location, very comfortable and homey. The view of the harbor from the veranda is just stunning, we very much enjoyed it as our rooms faced the town, not the harbor. The setting sun allowed for the most amazing pictures of the harbor and the moored boats. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, it was wonderful. Beds were super comfortable and room met all our needs. My only wish would have been to have access to a common room where we could have spent some leisure time indoors with our friends.
