Clean and cheerful, family friendly, surrounded by nature - 60m from the beach

Escape to our quintessential beach house, just 60m from the sands of Macmasters beach (75 mins from Sydney).

The quaint, one bedroom cottage has been set up for either a couples getaway (one queen bed) or time away with family (double bunk and trundle bed), sleeping five in total. There is one bathroom with a bath, shower and toilet, a bbq area in the garden, warm outdoor shower, wifi, and a washing machine / dryer. Linen is provided. BYO beach towels.

The property is an original 50's beach shack, with plenty of character. It is clean and appointed with new furnishings and linen. There is an outdoor fire pit for cold winter evenings.

* 1 bedroom (1 x Queen bed, 1 bunk bed (sleeps 2), 1 trundle bed)
* 1 bathroom with shower, bath, toilet, washing machine and dryer
* Small living space with open kitchen, dining table and small sofa
* Beautiful shaded garden with outdoor bbq, dining setting, vegetable garden and plenty of room for children to run around
* Warm outdoor shower to wash the sand off after a swim in the surf
* Luxury mattresses, bamboo linen included. Electric blanket on Queen Bed
* Off-street parking. The driveway is on a slope so guests will need a high wheel based vehicle to access (AWD or 4WD)

This property has a small living space inside, but plenty of room outside for entertaining and for children to play.

This property is let for holiday purposes only. This is a place to go if you are wanting peace and quiet. If you are wanting to party this is NOT the house for you as the neighbours will not appreciate the disturbance of loud music and partying.

Fantastic Location
We would’ve given this place 5 stars due to the fantastic location and beautiful surrounds. However although the cabin was cosy and comfortable, it definitely needed a detailed clean.

Great location but overpriced
The old beach shack is in a great location, its just a short walk to the beach, but the access drive is down a very steep slope so we parked the car up on the road. Walking down the poorly lit drive at night or in the rain felt pretty treacherous. When we arrived the old rusty key box was barely working and it was quite a struggle just to get access to the keys. The original 1950’s vintage vibe is cute, but amenities are basic. There is poor 4G bandwidth and the wifi didn’t work despite following the ‘reboot of modem’ instructions. The location was private except for an uncurtained window in the living area that looks straight on to the rear neighbour’s back deck. So, for the price it felt run down, a tad damp and in need of some more care…rotted ceilings anyone?

I can't believe this place is only 1.5 hrs from Sydney. Nestled in among the trees is this basic but adequate cabin, well set up for our small family of 4. Living in the inner west of Sydney, for us this weekend was about waking to the sound of birds and waves instead of sirens and traffic, and boy did this accommodation deliver! We had such an amazing time we decided to extend our stay an extra night, which the host was very accommodating with.

Perfect spot!
Our family loved our two night stay at Emma’s holiday home. Exactly as described, it is small and quaint but when you are that close to the beach with a lovely grassy outlook it’s perfect! Special to be able to bring our small dogs who loved it too. Everything was clean, comfy and well-equipped. Communication great and helpful. Highly recommend for a great, affordable beach stay :) thanks Emma - we will be back!

Great Location and very comfy

Its a nice position. Only points might be fix dip on drive entry as somebody parked across 1/3 of driveway whole time. Maybe a post too to stop that! Microwave needs to be lifted so door opens, fridge needs to be leveled, door stop for front door as it keeps locking us out. Maybe clear tint or stickers so kids dont walk through plate glass, fix sliding door to bedroom so it rolls. All good, sweet shack in great spot. Regards HAMISH GILL 0411415092

Great property equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay only footsteps from the beach. Surrounded by nature and peace, with only the sounds of the waves or the birdlife to contemplate. The interior of the beach house has been tastefully refurbished, right down to the hand stitched curtains. A perfect mid-week getaway for me.

Tiny Beach House was everything we were looking for, for a short get away close to home.
The location is the selling point of this property, 1hr 30mins from Sydney and 2 min walk to the beach. The sound of the waves is wonderful and especially soothing at night. The house is tiny, but is clean and cheerful and had everything we would want for a short and relaxing stay.
