Bed and bathroom were clean but property could definitely use updates. Area surrounding hotel is not great and could use some updating as well but did not feel unsafe. It was nice being that close to campus though for quick travel.

There is a definite amount of deferred maintenance. The hallways were horrible with stains and debris. I don't think there was a window that was clean except for what appeared to be a dirty rag wipe down. The 2nd floor - where the ice machine was supposedly removed - had a large hole in the ceiling and a pipe sticking out of the floor with a rag stuck into it. It was a nasty place to stay and I will never go there again. (plus the rates were doubled for an event)

The property was old and dated. The toilet didn’t want to flush. The beds were hard and the carpet was dirty. The price was not good for the accommodations. Price gouge comes to mind.

Attended an event at the Alliant Center, just 6 minutes away. Lots of food options nearby and easy access to the beltline. No noise from the highway. The breakfast was ok. The lobby, halls and room were immaculate. Only minor complaint was that the refrigerator in our room was broken and didnt get repaired over the 4 days we were there despite reporting it twice.

There was mold in the bathroom shower. The vents did not work. Half the lights did not work. The bed was as comfortable as a pull out bed. The room smelled moldy/musty.

The couple that managed the property were kind and I got the impression that they work hard and may not have staff to assist them with the day-to-day operations. The room was clean and provided essential amenities such as a refrigerator, TV, air conditioning, etc. The breakfast spread was reasonable and the host was in a great mood as he prepared food and served customers at an early hour in the day. The only concerns I had were that my room smelled damp like used wet towels. It may have just been the air conditioner but definitely evident. The other concern was the shower. I was grateful to have a shower and clean towels to do so, but I think the room is due for a new showerhead as the spray was a bit obstructed from water deposits over many years.
