I found the lack of a 24 hour personal presence a bit different as we would normally stay in a hotel or B&B but there were staff around during the day who were approachable. Everything was very clean and the apartment was well fitted. More coffee and tea would have been good though so the small things that you get in a hotel were lacking. The area though was central and we walked most places La Latina, the museums and galleries, El Retiro and the Botanical gardens. We had a glitch when the main front door wouldn’t open and we were all stuck inside for 45 mins but the lady who came to help was reasonably quick to us and did her best. The maintenance crew were less than speedy though and we ended up using the step ladder ourselves! Overall I would recommend it for longer stays, for myself on a short stay I think I would go back to a hotel.

The location is perfect for experiencing the culture of Spain. Walk to El Prado and Reina Sofia. Easy metro access to El Palacio Real and many other spots. It's bustling with city life, so make sure that's your thing before you book. The room is stocked well and very clean. Really enjoyed my stay.

We liked the young woman who acted as concierge. Without her the stay would have been more difficult. We did not understand the codes in the washer dryer….cou k d have been a disaster!! The space is well thought out…. Wonderful shower

We love our stay at Sonder Sofia! The design of the apartment was on point, and everything was really clean. This is our second time staying at Sonder, and this experience surpass all expectations. Although there is not reception, the team is always available and willing to help. They are also extremely nice and approachable. Its blocks away from Reina Sofía and a short walk to Achota station. Highlighly recommend.

I recently stayed at the new Sonder Sofia, which had no reviews yet, but I trusted the brand and was not disappointed. Despite minor growing pains typical of a new location, my experience was fantastic. The hotel is in a prime location, with metro and bus access nearby and a supermarket in the same building, though I preferred Mercadona up the street. My studio was well-equipped, including a full kitchenette, washer-dryer combo, and Smart TV, making it feel like a home away from home. It was also incredibly quiet despite its central location, and the code-access system was convenient. Minor cons included self serve baggage storage is still being set up and limited to 10am-4pm for the time being, and occasionally inconsistent hot water. Overall, I highly recommend Sonder Sofia and look forward to staying there again.
