Great getaway
We were looking for a quiet place to enjoy nature and relax away from the city for a while. This place was wonderful. We got all of that and more on top of being able to enjoy Mammoth Cave for a few days. The property is comfortable and well maintained. We are already considering another visit.

Great rental home near Mammoth Cave
We were a group of 8 (2 families each with tween/teen girls). We all found the home to be modern, comfortable, and clean. Plenty of space for us all. Great kitchen with everything needed to cook meals. We all loved the grounds with the pretty pond and geese. We also enjoyed the fire pit .. perfect for s'mores! 10 minutes to Mammoth Cave National Park when the ferry is operating .. 45 minutes when it's not ( but the drive is pretty).

Awesome place
The description of this property is exactly as described. We had 9 people with us. Two people slept on a couch. One was by choice. We had plenty of room and enjoyed it so much. We may end up going back during warmer weather to take more advantage of the nice property.

Girls Weekend
The cabin was absolutely beautiful with plenty of space for the 6 of us. All beds were super comfy and the lux shower in the master bath was heavenly after a full day of hiking at Mammoth Cave. It was about 45mins to the park since the ferry was closed.

Nice property, issues management
The house is very nice, property is spacious, and everything was as described. There were two issues we had with our experience that made our stay pretty disappointing. The first issue is that the listing states there is a hot tub. My young kids were pretty excited about this and there simply was no hot tub or even jacuzzi on site. Not the end of the world, but I'm just not sure why you would put that on the listing if it's not true? The other bigger issue is that when we arrived to check in, the house was not clean. There were dirty/wet linens and towels that had been sitting in the laundry room for days (or weeks?) and the whole house smelled horrible. I had to call the property owners several times to get an answer and they did send someone out to clean the house. We had to pack all of our things back up and leave, so the house could be cleaned. This was a big inconvenience, as we had been out hiking all day and were ready to get in the A/C and relax for a moment. The property owner claimed they would give us a partial refund for this inconvenience, but it's been 3 weeks at this point, so I don't expect that will be happening.

This property is amazing! If you are looking to get off the grid and spend some quality time with your family, you can not go wrong with this place. The listing does not do the pond enough justice. The pond has an awesome deck, the water is CLEAN, and there are plenty of fish.

Stunning property! We really enjoyed our stay. When the ferry was running, there was easy access to mammoth cave. I advise to check the hours ahead of time to plan accordingly. Our kids loved fishing in the pond. The adults enjoyed the view. There was a drainage issue with one of the showers but it was fixed very promptly. Overall an excellent stay!

This is a very beautiful home and the land and view from the big windows was amazing. My family and I really enjoyed staying here. Only a few suggestions that would really make this place 5-stars: - There's no place to hang towels in either bathroom. Just a towel rack or a few hooks would be enormously helpful, we were draping towels over the shower doors and such - There were two keypads on the back door and it wasn't clear from checkin instructions which we needed to use, so took us about 5 minutes to get in

Serene Stay
This home is the perfect spot for a family getaway, and the owners are very kind! It was so serene and peaceful with the most stunning views any time of day. The house is gorgeous, clean, and comfortable. We brought the whole family and everyone had their own spaces to settle down in, but also to gather in. We enjoyed eating dinner out on the porch at the farmhouse family table, watching the moon come up over the lake, paddling around the lake, fishing, and hearing our echos bounce off all the trees in the valley. The home is very close to Mammoth Cave park (make sure to check the Green River ferry schedule) and Nolan Lake. We took our kiddos to the lake multiple times (the beach is free). Having a wash machine and dryer on site was very helpful. Make sure to heed signs to drive SLOWLY upon arriving at the road the home is on. There is a sweet neighbor with outdoor cats that tend to hang out on the road 😬. We’ll be sure to book again if we find ourselves out this way in the future!

A Lovely Stay
We loved our time at this cottage! The children especially enjoyed the full size built in bunk beds and the pond that they enjoyed fishing in! The porch was welcoming with its swing and dining table! The fire pit was very nice as well! We took the Green River Ferry and were in Mammoth Cave National Park very quickly! The furniture was comfortable and the decor was beautiful! An amazing location, peaceful, picturesque, close to Mammoth Caves. Plenty of space for our group. Although we felt we were living with the previous tenants. Clothes left behind the door in the bunk room, clothes left in the dryer. Crumbs and water marks in frig. Table still had crumbs. We loved the house and grounds.

Very nice house!
We enjoyed our stay here. The house and surrounding property are both beautiful! We loved the grill and the porch swing. We longed to use the fire pit, but the weather didn’t cooperate. Echoing another reviewer, there are only 4 places to dine indoors and we had almost constant rain, so we couldn’t use the ample outdoor dining spaces for our family of 6. This doesn’t really detract from the property, it’s just something to keep in mind if you have a larger party and the weather is bad. The owners were super nice and responsive. They are lovely people. This place is ideal for beautiful days and spending time outside. It’s also great for a movie night with a large TV and comfortable seating in the LR. Note: the drive from the property to the Mammoth Cave Visitor’s Center was 30-45 minutes depending on the route you take so consider that for cave-related activities. Also, we waited until the last day to try the ferry, but I recommend you try it. It’s the quickest route (check to make sure it’s open), and it’s a fun experience. The ferry is free of cost.
