Hotel great stay for the night. Arrived late but no problems getting checked in. The two members of staff I met were lovely upon check in and check out. The lady at check out gave me perfect directions to the tram. Hotel room was great, nothing more I needed. Bed comfortable and got a lovely nights sleep. Bathroom clean and no problems. One of the mugs had a stain on it but there was another so no issue with it The only other thing that could be improved to make it better would just be the windows. They just need cleaned. Double glazed the inside window was very clean but the outside one was very hard to see out of. Didn’t affect my overall rating The corridors were a bit run down looking but rooms totally fine Thanks for a great stay

Very clean and lots of parking available. Buffet breakfast was amazing. Rooms had everything you need. The beds were uncomfortable for a heavier person.

Terrible, cheap mattress with springs sticking out everywhere. Not particularly clean, skirting boards and window frames filthy. Drain smell in the bathroom. Smell of faeces in the corridor in the morning

Quite a quirky property. All staff lovely and very professional. Very clean, towels changed daily, tea, coffee replenished and bins emptied. Bed not comfortable and layout of room meant the TV was so far away from the bed you could only watch it my sitting on the single hardback chair provided.

Externally, looks like an old 70’s office block but it’s really a little gem of a place for anyone on a low budget. Good transport links, some shops and a few reasonable pubs.

We didn't book here expecting a luxury hotel where we would be spending loads of time. What we wanted was somewhere convenient while spending time in Manchester. And that is exactly what we got . A decent comfortable hotel with good facilities in each room, friendly staff and very good breakfasts with plenty of parking and excellent transport links. For a city break that is pretty much all we needed and the Ox did the job perfectly.

Wouldn’t recommend this hotel although it is good location to central Manchester and had free parking. The smell of old cigarettes and mustiness in my room was absolutely appalling and so strong that when I got home I had to wash even the items I didn’t wear. People up all hours of the night whistling in the corridor and banging doors. Someone knocked on my door at midnight, I was a lone female and felt very scared therefore I didn’t answer it. I think people were smoking in the hallway. The hotel is in the same building as the job centre. There are no real windows in the rooms and they are mouldy and need a good clean. The bed is like sleeping on the floor. The pillows are practically pointless. The room and bathroom were clean and the shower very powerful which was needed after no sleep. The curtains need to be taken down and washed. The walls need a wash too or a refresh as splatters on them. The breakfast was nice for £9.99. The staff were nice. Wouldn’t go back ever again, not worth £105 a night, worth £40 at best.
