To be honest, room maintenance condition is not good. I found the leakage of water at the toilet and air conditioning, shelf of shower room is broken. However, the large room space and high ceiling is very comfortable.

Staff: great. Condition: needs Major TLC.

Staff was fantastic. The hotel has good a location on a main street. The manager is only a few days in his new job and has much delayed maintenance to attend to. The room was MOLDY. An obvious older water leak from the second floor bathroom. It was not repaired properly but the new manager said that he would attend to it immediately. I was offered another room but I declined do to so because 'I hate to move after I'm settled'. Decent restaurant on premises. This would be a really nice hotel if given some TLC.

The large room with high ceilings is very comfortable. I'm comfortable because shower space is independent. I don't like Myanmar standard of shower and toilet together layout.

Accomodating staff

We arrived in Mandalay at 4:30am. Despite checkin being at 2pm, the kind lady arranged for our room to be serviced and ready early for us which was appreciated. The room was large and comfortable. We also had fruit and sweets delivered to us. The hotel is central to the Palace walls but tourists can only enter from the eastern gate, 3.5km away.

Simple Hotel with Helpful Staff

Nice friendly staff that doesn't speak much English. The bed is hard and dinner is fair. Breakfast has a good selection for the hotel price. The area is in a busy part of town close to the Famous Palace.

I'm not expect too much about the hotel in Mandalay but when I arrived I'm so surprised. It's great all over location, service, clean and many things. If I'll be back to Mandalay in the future.This hotel will be the first choice for me and friends.
