This is not a five star Manhattan hotel, but it doesn't claim to be. It's a very welcoming, comfortable place to stay in ishpeming. Rooms are large, beds are comfortable, nice pool, etc. I would stay again.

The higher cost was likely due to the limited amount of facilities in the area. The staff was friendly and helpful. However the amenities were only average and “worn” as were the decor in our room.

The hotel lobby and room were clean a pleasant looking. The housekeeping staff was really on top of it. The whole hotel was spic and span! I believe there were only two housekeepers there my entire four night stay and they were both very personable and helpful in every way. My only complaint about staff, if I had one at all, would be that we were assigned a room on the second floor. I asked at check in If we could have a 1st floor room instead as I could see that the hotel was not busy. I was told “No, that’s your room.” I didn’t object further and it really wasn’t a big deal, but a bit of a strange response nonetheless. Also, the breakfast offered really needs some work! The refrigerated scrambled eggs with a sausage on top was ridiculous and none of the bakery items looked at all appealing. Twice I went down in the morning to get a cup of coffee only to find it to be warm rather than hot. It really wouldn’t take much of an effort to turn the breakfast into something that would compliment the facility that otherwise was quite nice. Overall our stay was pleasant.
