The pool area was huge and jumping off the rocks into the water was a highlight. We reserved five restaurants during our stay and the dishes were all delicious, unique and presented favourably. And the check-out was stress-free with no hidden charges; which we’ve dealt with at other resorts over our years of travel.

We had a wonderful stay at El CID Castilla in an oceanfront room. The all inclusive elite package provided a top level luxury experience for us. Staff was courteous and attentive. The bands on the beach are incredibly loud and it would be a more enjoyable experience, especially in the afternoon, if they were not directly in front of the hotel. The mornings, evenings, and nights, were beautiful. We had one bad experience dining at the Golf Club steakhouse. We ate there twice. On Friday November 22nd we had and incredible meal with flawless service and we decided to go back again. On Sunday November 24th we returned to the steakhouse. It was quite busy but we were served promptly. Unfortunately, my appetizer was forgotten. My friends, of course, would not start eating until everyone was served as is proper etiquette. I had to find a staff member and reorder my food. By the time it came, everyone’s food was cold and my hurried appetizer was burnt and not edible. I did not wish to eat it and sent it back. Our main courses were delicious with no issues. After the main course was finished, it took so long for our desserts that we decided to leave. We paid full price for a partial meal that was substandard for the cold appetizers. Although this was brought to the attention of resort staff, there was no offer of restitution. This was the only poor experience of our stay. I would like to mention that the staff in the Cafe Elite were friendly and attentive. Thank you

The hotel required reservation for all inclusive restaurants . Also , it wasn’t fully all inclusive . Bottles of water weren’t included there was also a room charge for room service .

A group of us spent 4 nights at the property in September of 2024. We are between 52 and 71. It wasn't the correct property for us. It is really geared towards families, and multiple generations at that. We all live in Mexico and have proficient Spanish. The property is showing deferred maintenance, and, at times, was really dirty from the crowds. That said---the staff, to a person, were delightful. They were friendly, helpful and seemed to genuinely be glad that we were there. Our biggest problem was that 3 of us booked with Expedia and the other two booked directly with the hotel. There was a marked inequity in the bracelets and the benefits that came along with them. We were constantly given incorrect information on what we could/could not do, where we could/could not eat. On the last full day---the two who didn't book with Expedia paid for an upgrade. Well, due to poorly advised staff members, this resulted in an even bigger problem. They jumped levels above us. It was a problem when they were assured we could all go to the marina for dinner. Once we arrived, the staff had to tell us that this wasn't the case. We could join our newly upgraded friends for dinner but would have to pay the menu prices. We did this, it was never about the money. The real problem is that there was never one clear explanation of the levels of all-inclusive packages.

First, the customer service is not that good, they take their time serving you. Second, we pay for all inclusive, our room did not have a refrigerator, they gave us no water, if we wanted it with an extra charge, I think 50.00 pesos, ridiculous price for a water. Every day the food was the same, there was no variety. In some parts of the hotel it was dirty, our rooms took a while to clean. Not satisfied with the service
