DESCRIPTION:
Who doesn’t love a little bit of sunshine and snow! Located lakefront in Deep Creek Village, this three-level unit is close to a wide variety of activities. In winter enjoy the slopes, shopping, and keeping warm on the cozy sectional in the living room, and in the summer spend your days golfing, hiking, or down by the water! The best of both worlds. Take in the views no matter the season from the main level deck or the ​lower-level patio. Stuck with a rainy day? There are plenty of games to help keep you entertained in the living room! Upstairs, you will find a bedroom suite with a spacious bathroom and a bed that is ohhh so cozy. Enjoy a little extra peace and quiet for some reading time in the sitting room inside the suite. Throughout the home the wood details from the floors to the furniture paired with the thoughtful decor give off a cozy lake cabin feel. On the lower level is another bedroom with private access to the patio and a separate bathroom with a jetted tub - perfect after a day on the slopes or on the water! No matter what your plans are at Deep Creek Lake, Sunshine and Snowflakes provides modern comfort to your dream vacation.

This home comes with free access to the Community Aquatic Recreation Center (CARC)! This fitness and wellness complex, located in the central Deep Creek Lake area, offers a modern gym and a full-size indoor pool. The free CARC membership is available to all guests in the home for the duration of your stay, up to the home’s full occupancy.

Sunshine and Snowflakes did not disappoint!
We had a great stay at Sunshine and Snowflakes! The property is well maintained, clean, and as nicer than even pictured. Kitchen was nicely appointed and well stocked with the needed accessories. Extra bottle of propane and was a nice touch, no chance of running out. Great location within an easy walk to the Wisp attractions. Check out the mountain coaster! Five stars all around, will stay again!

Clean & great location
We came with our 4 children for a quick snowboarding getaway. Mostly clean property (though there were 2-3 very large spider webs which we suspect was related to the house not being used recently…since all the clocks were still on daylight savings time.) No big deal for us. Phenomenal location though we HIGHLY recommend that you take the rental company’s advice of driving AWD or getting snow tires even if the weather report doesn’t call for snow. We ignored it (😬) since there was 0% of precipitation when we left and ended up getting snow most of the trip. On the last day, they had 3 inches drop and we nearly weren’t able to get our minivan up the hill to leave. The main floor of the house was lovely, the mattresses were all comfortable and the upstairs shower had great water pressure. Our issues with this home and why we likely will not stay here again are: the lack of blinds in the skylights of the upstairs bedroom, the pullout couch of the sitting room in the upstairs bedroom can’t be used without damaging the wall, the inconsistency of the temperature in the house (very hot in the upstairs bedroom and freezing in the basement bedroom) and the lack of a bathroom on the main floor. Additionally, the bunk bed was not the sturdiest. Ultimately, we had a great vacation and the property wasn’t bad at all but it wasn’t right for the needs of our family.

Great location, perfect formally getaway
Then property is situated perfectly for quick access to Wisp for skiing and tubing. It was our family's first time skiing and the location couldn't have been better for easy access to and from the slopes. Our kid's ages are spread between teen and young, so it made it so convenient to meet everyone's needs. There were games and movies for our downtime too!
