I believe this property was misrepresented on the Wotif site. The images show an apartment hotel. We stayed in sub-standard student accommodation, nothing like the images, not even in the same building as the reception. We were supposed to have a deluxe 2 bedroom apartment, got 2 very tiny apartments (both with 2 'rooms' but were clearly designed to be 1room plus study) and they were on 2 different floors. One floor smelled so bad that 2 of us couldn't even walk in without dry heaving. I found and squashed a bedbug and even though they fumigated the room. We got a partial refund but I would like a full refund and would like Wotif to contact me ASAP as I'm EXTREMELY unhappy about this experience.

The Arrow is what is promoted as, Budget, situated just outside the free tram zone, but very walkable to all parts of Melbourne. This is the second we have stayed here, so pretty good value for money. Near the University and Chinese quarter so many place to eat.

After flying in to Melbourne, we turned up to hotel only to be told a pipe burst and we no longer had a room. No prior call. No prior email. No prior text. Just we had to find alternate accommodation. No assistance. Although the burst pipe is not their fault, no assistance in finding other accommodation at all.

The rooms looked nothing like the photos on the internet. Very misleading. Outdated. Passageways very dark and spooky. Very muggy in the building. Beds are VERY hard and uncomfortable. The kids were so excited to go in the pool but it was dirty and not cleaned so we gave it a miss. Probably be a good spot to sleepover on a budget if your on your own not with a family.

Legitimately the worst place I have ever stayed. I booked a 4 bedroom apartment 8 months in advance. When we went to check in we were told it was no longer available due to a bug infestation and they only had one 4 bedroom apartment. Their communication was terrible and no one could make a decision or help. They stated they had no mangers on the weekend and I was told someone would contact me but they didn’t. As it was last second when we were told we had no other option but to split the family up and take seperate rooms. Most couples were given single beds and half of the family was in a while seperate building. The rooms were dirty, outdated and felt creepy and unsafe end there were unsafe people in the lobby and elevators. No extra linen, stains on sheets and barely functioning rooms. Definitely overpriced by a mile. We then spoke to some women on the elevator who stated they had checked in for a 4 bedroom apartment but had been told the same thing as us and split up. Seems like a scam. One of the rooms wasn’t even ready until after 7:30pm. We were offered no compensation or anything for their mess up and the stress they caused and the staff seemed rude and incompetent, plus most of the time they don’t bother answering the phone. I will never stay here again and would suggest to avoid this place like the bug plague they told us they had

Nothing redeeming about this hotel. Slow check in, terrible smell in the corridors, small bathroom, television on top of fridge, etc. The worst part is the hotel uses fake photos to mislead their customers.

The position of the property was great. That’s where it stops. The furnishings were years old and terribly uncomfortable. The bed and pillows and bedding were terrible. The chairs on the patio were that old they were cracked and couldn’t sit on it. The so called sofa was old and propped up with timber. Out in the entrances and hallways the floors were dirty And even the reception felt grubby. Won’t be staying there again and wouldn’t recommend it anyone. Another stayed in another room and it was terrible as well.

Very basic and in a poor state. Family apartment with a sofa bed couch that you worried it would collapse if you sit on it. Used this for my daughter to sleep on, it folded up during the night. Most uncomfortable thing ever. Definately wouldn't stay here again! Location was good, close to Vic markets.

Location is good but that’s about it!
Location is great - Swanston St with a tram stop literally at the front door. A short stroll to Lygon St, Queen Vic Markets and The library. The view from the terrace was amazing but unfortunately the praise stops there. We booked the penthouse apartment for our family of 4 for a four night stay, which advertised a queen bed and a sofa bed. The ‘sofa bed’ was a dodgy old futon that barely fit our 9 year old..no bedding other than an old, faded doona and only 1 pillow. The bedding on the queen bed was old and ratted and so thin. Everything felt stingy and cheap, not even any comfortable seating. It appears the apartment is privately owned and ran by Arrow on Swanston. We had to ask for extra towels and when I complained about the bedding their care factor was zero, but did provide a rollaway bed promptly which led me to believe it happens often. We have travelled to many different hotels in our time so you expect a certain amount of ammenities when you spend your hard earned cash on the holidays. There weren’t even any wine glasses in the ‘fully equiped’ kitchen, just one stinky tea towel and only 3 of everything else. So stingy! The staff didn’t give a hoot about my complaints hence this detailed review :) Won’t be staying again!
