I cannot speak more highly of the front desk safe when i had interaction with them. However, the apartment, on arrival was a little disappointing. There was only 1 x towel in the bathroom and no bath mat. The breakfast boxes were not supplied for my 2 night stay. The sofa was the most uncomfortable that i've ever sat on and it would deter me from staying more than 1 or 2 night. The bed was very comfortable, but i was surprised that there wasn't an additional blanket or pillow in the cupboards.

The reception was very helpful, especially the gentlemen who served me in the evening and the lady who served me in the morning. This was on the weekend and both were helpful and professional. The walls around the lift buttons could do with a clean.

Bed was uncomfortable, especially the pillows. Toilet buttons had to be held down for many seconds in order to flush properly. Hot water in the shower was inconsistent; sometimes hot, sometimes mildly warm. On the Sat night there were loud, angry drunk people making a lot of noise in the corridor of my floor. The staff were friendly and the room itself was stylish and looked good. South Melbourne area itself is good, a short tram ride takes you into the city.

There was no kettle in our room and someone had signed into Netflix with private account in Japanese, so we weren’t able to access. I would also appreciate an information folder in room that includes contact numbers, local conveniences, bars etc. Enjoyed our stay overall.

Very low budget accomm. Had to ask for everything inc wifi password. The car park has a 2.2m height limit - but if you’re parking under a stacker it’s less than that - and when the parking attendant disappears while helping you park, it’s all on you. Wouldn’t stay at City Edge again or recommend it.

There was No landline phone in the room for contacting receptionist. Everytime you call from your mobile to reception for anything and it will take ages for them to answer. They were unable to find the booking at the start and room description was wrongly labelled. They mentioned room has city view but they offered the room with limited view and later on I had to talk to them to get better view. I was given the option to change it to 309 but still it was not good as described while booking. I would really appreciate the honest description at the start. However, room was nice and clean.
