Not our first stay but definitely our last. After arriving at the property after 4 hours of driving wife and I decided to freshen up by having hot showers. Only to find out there was no hot water to be used. Went to reception and told them of the predicament and was followed back to the room by attendee. He felt the heat of the shower and told me this is normal temp for hotel and that the system was set at 50 c. I’ve got experience with pool and spa temps and this water was know where near 50c more like mid 20’s. We were told to wait for morning and check water again. So we did and guess what no hot water again. Back down to reception to be greeted by a different employee. Once again was followed back to the room for him to check water. Once again I was told this was normal for the hotel. We asked for a refund and was told could only give us refund for our second night only. Which I find is rubbish due to the fact that they have not provided a basic service that is expected from a 4 star hotel. We are not living in a third world country. Staff rude Carpets filthy throughout Cigarette butts littering outside of reception and all throughout underground car park. Graffiti scratched into panels of elevator. Happy to have found better accommodation just down the road. Wont be back. Terrible.

Lovely quiet place to stay. Hotel looked a bit on the tired side and could do with a bit of a paint. Our room had no dishwashing liquid or tea towels so we couldn't clean up the dishes we used. Having said that, I would stay there again just to go to the Chinese restaurant which was sensational.

The Golden Pebble is old and tired. Look at the carpets leading into the rooms. Black! Look like have never been treated. Had to change rooms as first room had an outside window that wouldn't close. Was asked if I really needed it closed! Won't be staying here again.
