My booking processed for the wrong date it was 2am and I was trapped in Melbourne and they wouldn't move the booking I just made that day or apply the credit or anything so I had to pay 4 star hotel prices to stay in a room that looked and felt like a prison cell.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
My room appeared, unclean on arrival i felt i need to clean it again myself.
Nowhere to hang my towels and there were at least three screws protruding from the walls.
However the bed was clean and comfortable and the location first class.
I know its a budget hotel but it needs to be better presented.
Our room was upgraded to double beds, was so grateful, the room was so spacious as well. We assume the "penthouse" of the Ibis Budget world!!

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
My room would have to have been the darkest in the building. Even after opening the curtains the frosted glass still meant the light was terrible. None of the bedside lamps worked, there two half drink bottles of water left in the room and the toilet flushing button was broken. The people who checked me were so casual and nonchalant I didn’t even think they worked there at first. The day time staff were much more professional though it is worth noting.
Great location. Within easy walking distance to pretty much anything you'd like to see although also located within the free tram zone for public transport. Very quiet when inside the hotel despite being located so centrally. Affordable price with access to TV, kettle etc in room. Door to hotel is locked and requires keycard from 9pm for safety. Lots of food options nearby, including only next door! Only negative I can think of is that shower and toilet could have been a little bit cleaner

Liked: Cleanliness
While the hotel is in a very central location, as a single traveller, I would be very very wary coming back to the hotel late at night on my own. There are a lot of homeless/ troubled people on Elizabeth St at night and it's not a safe area.
The property itself, is very dated.
Room was clean which was great but there was a musty smell in the room and the curtain was hanging off the railing.
Very much get what you pay for.
Whilst location is fanastic, the hotel rooms certainly do not look like any photo's and desperate need of an uplift. The room was run down, old, and had no room in it, bed was comfortable, and desperately needs a new refresh. I wouldn't probably stay there again, was under $200 but would of expected a bit better for that.
All the above.
Clean room evrry day with clean bedding. Extremely quite on top 7th floor . Staff siper wanting to help and make stay relaxing.
Breakfast quite adequate and well serviced.
Not the Ritz but certainly suited mu purposes for being in Melbourne.
Large TV AIR -CON Excellent.
Dont believe the version someone put on U-TUBE
So out of date
Enjoy
The property was better than expected considering it is a budget hotel.
Staff very helpful.
The one issue i couldnt get was wi fi i was only there for one night so not a big proplem.
Would book there again if in melbourne.
