We were pleased, however we could hear others in their rooms. Particularly doors slamming & thumping was often evident. The shower leaks also.

Booked a room for family of 4 but found the room a bit small for all 4 of us. Hotel is a bit dated and has very simple facilities but wins in very convenient location close to big malls, shops and restaurants as well as tram stops. Overall a good stay.

We arrived and were told we were given an upgrade. This was an upgrade? What was the room we were to have before like? As usual the room did not look like the ones in the photo gallery. Not even close. The room was small, a bookcase was used instead of a wardrobe. There was no place to set up the kettle as the desk that was there was too far away from the power sockets. One power socket was falling out of the wall near the bookcase. The shower leaked onto the bathroom floor so the bath mat was always dripping wet. The ventilation fan in the bathroom didnt work. The cold water tap fell off and needed to be held to the tap spine to use. Air conditioner vent was hidden behind the wall mounted TV so we couldn't feel any affect of the cooling. It didn't feel like there was any air coming out of it anyway. The next morning when I reported it the response was we will fix what we can and sorry about that. All they did was put a screw in the cold tap. Breakfast was OK. Coffee was surprisingly good coming out of a machine. This was an upgrade? What was the room we were to have before like? It's a no from me. If I come back to melbourne, I'll look elewhere to stay.
