Noise of the lift was bad. Very disrupted sleep due to this. I booked a roof top suite but was not informed we would need to use stairs for the final floor. Was offerred to check for room on floor below but would take time. We declined as we just wanted to get to our room and relax after train travel.

Property is clean, "bathroom" is a glass walled wardrobe right next to the bed. First contact was a lady who was so helpful as we were early and she checked my baggage for me. We returned to check in at 1530 for a 1400 check in. The man who checked us in had a very surly attitude and I felt like he had something better to do. He then informed me he would have to change things around as the room wasn't ready! Again this seemed like too much trouble. Certainly not an advert for oaks customer service. This experience is why the rating is so low and will make me hesitant to stay at this property again.

We were not impressed by the glass partition which separates the bathroom from the bed which is one 1 meter away. In saying this the beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked correctly.

The blanket was yellow and gross the bathroom tiles are very slippery, shower head old and sprays water from shower arm, Shower pressure isn’t great I would say this is a 2.5 star

Hotel and room were very clean. However the rooftop rooms, which are spacious with the tiniest bathroom, are located on level 19 are situated between the elevators and all you hear the whole time you are in the room is the elevator going up and down.

Clean and tidy apartment hotel 24 hour access to staff on site Internal studio room was spacious apart from the bathroom. Would not book this room again the bathroom was difficult to use. Basin and placement of items made it difficult to move in.

The oaks was nice, clean, quiet and had a good little kitchen. The only thing is the bathroom was a bit on the small side with no bench space to put toiletries. I would stay again.

Easy walking distance from Southern Cross Station and within the free tram district (easy walk down to Flinders Street to catch the tram to Flinders Station). Hotel was clean and quiet.
