Poorly trained staff who carried out their duties with minimal effort and complete lack of enthusiasm. Hotel needs a good face lift seems very rundown. Will never stay there again. Very disappointed.

Housekeeping is great and the customer service. The only issue is that spa and sauna js always busy cant use the facility - may be it should be timed or have a book in time. but overall its a good place ,clean , tidy and good staff.

Great location in central CBD
I stayed in a suite, it was fantastic to have extra space, a spa bath, the separate sitting room, dining table and a small kitchenette. I found it strange there were cooking facilities but nothing to cook with, not even a pair of scissors or a pot, other reviews said you had to request it. I was disappointed when I took advantage of the ‘no housekeeping save $10 off room service’ but noticed after checkout the $10 discount wasn’t applied to my invoice. Also one day I think housekeeping used dishwashing liquid in the dishwasher as the kitchen floor was covered in water and bubbles from the dishwasher. I opened the dishwasher and it was FULL of bubbles! I tried calling housekeeping multiple times but no answer, I tried reception no answer. So I used the towels to clean it up. I left a note for housekeeping the next day but didn’t get a reply, instead they didn’t replace my tea or coffee that day! I stayed over Xmas and thought they might do something special like a little chocolate or cookie in the room for Xmas eve / Xmas as I’ve had in other hotels but nothing. The positives - check-in staff friendly and provided my child a colouring pack-back, loved the spa in the room, the suite was fantastic, location of the hotel is so central, right near a tram. I purchased breakfast one day I thought it was pretty good, lots on offer but service average as plates were running out, no cutlery on tables . I would recommend the Stamford for a stay again.

No staff to welcome you any more at the front, short staffed, Always check the room before checking in please. Booked Queen Deluxe and put in a special needs room, room 400, very depressing. After 3 calls moved to 1312, tv did not work but at least what I paid for. Wasted time and bad experience. Have photos to share. Free drinks - ran out of beer only one type on tap left. Melbourne is beautiful but better accomodation to be found,

We stayed for 2 nights, the room was nice and quiet the bed was comfortable, the staff were pleasant, check-in took extra long as there were very long queues due to a lot of people chcking in as it was New Years eve.

We booked this hotel as it had a pool, we planned on using this as a way of relaxing after a long flight. Apparently it was closed for cleaning. Also the wifi wasn’t working either. Room looks better in pictures.

Room service was very slow. My order was suppose to be 45 minutes. After 1 after this time I had to ring the via booking site to ask when I was going to get my food. Getting my dinner about 9.20pm . Had to change my plans for the evening. Breakfast was cold. Warming dishes did not keep food warm
