Mountain Farmhouse: 4 Bedrooms, 3.5 Baths, Great Porches And Lake Views

Farmhouse style board and batting home with stone basement that includes a ramp and wide steps leading to the rear entrance porch. There are four bedrooms. Downstairs one bedroom features a king size bed with en suite bathroom and soaker tub. On the opposite end of the first floor is a bedroom with a queen bed and en suite bathroom with walk-in shower. The upstairs bedrooms have queen size beds. One of the rooms has 2 queen size beds. In addition, there is a
"Hide Out" with a full size bed through the the fourth bedroom. The upstairs full bath with a soaker tub is down the hallway. A 1/2 bath is convenient to the living area. A large front porch (10' by 20') overlooks a small lake with seasonal furniture for your convenience and a large gas grill. The large back porch with a swing and comfortable furniture leads into the house through mahogany french doors. You will enjoy the nice open areas upon entering that make up the dining and living spaces and a kitchen with granite, custom cabinets and stainless steel appliances. The living area offers a cozy sofa, recliners, additional seating, a flat screened tv and gas logs. The downstairs offers 3 ft. doors for accessibility . Our floors are locally milled stained pine planks that have not been sanded smooth which lends itself to our old farmhouse plan. The upstairs bedrooms are carpeted for sound efficiency and warmth for those using this area. There are separate heating and cooling systems for both floors.
A large fire-pit with lots of seating provides guests with great opportunities to gather.
Our customers tell us that they can't get enough of the helpful staff at this holiday home. During your stay, you'll be close to Cloudmont Ski and Golf Resort. Free WiFi and a kitchen are available in the holiday home.

Wonderful 8 Days!
The property is marvelous and the host is the best! The house was well-appointed with everything we needed. It was cozy, though large enough for our flow of guests. The decor is local art and you never quit noticing something new each day. We were centrally located near all the places we chose to drive. Having stayed at several VRBOs, none had met or exceeded this one!

The house and rooms are larger than they appear in the photos. The area parks were very close for hiking, photo taking and the driveway added to our outdoor adventures !! Our second time staying at this wonderful property!
We loved this house so much that we returned this year for fall break. The house is so cozy and well stocked - it's like staying at a friend's house! The house has ample space, comfortable beds, plenty of TVs, inviting porches and splendid, whimsical artwork. David the host is amazing and so kind. Mentone in the fall is beautiful and we were lucky to have fabulous weather. We hiked at the State Park and enjoyed the DeSoto Falls. Highly recommend this property!

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin so much! It is the prettiest cabin we have ever rented, and it was super clean. We had nine family members and there was plenty of room. The cabin is filled with original art. The kitchen was well equipped, and the owner left s'more fixings, cookies, and a bag of fresh picked apples for us. We spent a lot of time on the front and back porches and the view of the lake was incredible! We would definitely recommend staying here and plan to come back.

Let me begin by saying the host is a great one!! He has made sure everyone in this house has had everything they would want or need!! We did not have to get one thing that we needed for this weekend! He went above and beyond with communication and making sure we know what and where everything was! The house itself is very homie! We enjoyed every aspect of the house!! Some of us wanted to stay longer!! We enjoyed the fire pit and the porches!! The kitchen was perfect and we loved the big table for our breakfast. Girls of Camp DeSoto: Three Generations of Chicks!
And the men who came with them!!! We had a fabulous time staying in “Huckleberry Haven” for our second year! We plan to stay in the future! We had a great stay at Huckleberry Haven. The home was perfect for our family plus a few extra friends. Plenty of rooms, beds, & bathrooms. Great house and tastefully appointed with lots of local art. I hope we can return in the future.The only thing I would mention is that the driveway is steep and the road in is bumpy. I was in a 4WD pickup, so it wasn't a problem, but certain cars might find it difficult.

Huckleberry Haven is an excellent house. It has everything you need for a fantastic stay. It has great seating areas for relaxation and visiting. It is located in a wonderful area that is very peaceful. The owner is excellent in his communications and provides all the “extras” that make for a perfect trip. The house is spacious and absolutely gorgeous - the artwork is like visiting an art gallery. This is the best place to stay. My friends and I continue to return again and again. Cousins' Reunion
We are a group of older men who grew up together, and most are related. We try to get together for a weekend every year, usually in The Smokies or at a lake in South Carolina. We wanted to try a different venue this year, and someone suggested Mentone. This turned out to be a great choice, as the nearby attractions were unique and amazing. Our VRBO house was beautiful and very well appointed with books and artwork. The mattresses were super comfortable and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. The host was easy to communicate with. This venue was perfectly suited to our needs and exceeded expectations. We are planning to go there again, for sure!
