I didn’t like the room location on the street was very noisy. My air conditioner didn’t work the first night and had an awful humming sound the air was repaired second night but disturbing sound continued which I recorded because I could sleep or believe that the sounds were actually that loud. Lastly the bed was uncomfortably hard with lumps that felt like I was sleeping on box springs. This was unfortunate as the hotel was lovely in the common spaces.

This place was okay, staff was very friendly. The room I got was dirty. The restroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. The sink was clogged and the water would take forever to drain. I didn’t get maintenance because I was there for a very short time and literally had all my days packed and planned to the brink so I had to brush my teeth and wash hands in the shower. I was given a room by the elevator so I could hear EVERYTHING the walls are very thin. Other than that it was okay. Didn’t have high expectations for the money I paid. Good for short stays.

With the rates we paid, we were pleasantly surprised by the experience at Fond By Sonder. The proximity to restaurants and Citi bikes and the beach made for a very enjoyable trip with friendly staff and clean cute rooms. If you are looking for a good bang for your buck, this is the place.

Honestly was a great stay! Loved the bunk beds so we didn’t have to sleep together. Pool area is nice, the food at the restaurant was delicious. Only ‘complaint’ observation is the crack house next door. Our window in 202 opened and looked directly into the crack house. You can see so much crap in there. However this is nothing that the property can do. And we never saw anyone of concern or felt unsafe. My suggestion would be to lock the window from opening so people don’t have to see that. Would totally stay again though!

The room smelled funky and when we got back home from our trip, all of our stuff smells like the Sonder. We kind of worry if it's mushrooms, but it doesn't smell good. Stayed for 8 days and only have 1 cleaning including. Walls are thin so your hear your neighbours easily. Air conditioner system is slow to kick into the changes you make and it smells bad. Staff were kind. Location is good. Will not recommend to anyone.
