We have been going to hotel De la Ville for at least 10 years the staff is welcoming and the location is great one block away from from the Duomo and the galleria for shopping.

Nice hotel, clean, very close to Cathedral, shopping and dining - all upmarket though. Staff - very unfriendly and reluctant to help, don't want to talk to you, just want to check you in and give you the key card to your room, not interested in answering questions about how to get from A to B, or call a taxi for you.

The hotel location was excellent, the cathedral and the galleria were just around the corner, lots of restaurant nearby. I did not like that we had to wait 40 minutes for our room which caused us to miss a tour. The room had a view but the bathroom was just okay, a little small.

The staff was more then helpful in every aspect, I am Going thru menopause stage and I asked for a fan because I was runing on high heat and the staff at the front desk and the bell men were extremely attentive, MY MOST SINCERE GRATITUDE TO ALL, THEY went above and beyond to Make our stay extremely pleasant.

There was construction on our floor. Asked for a late check-out and at first they said no. Then yes after I asked for a discount due to the construction. They could have let us know about the construction prior and we would have booked another hotel. But generally should have agreed to a simple late check-out request. Breakfast is average. The hotel in general is on a noisy street and they give you earplugs as a solution. That all said pretty central.

We had difficulty getting our car out of the nearby parking lot at 4 in the morning. The manager on for the night immediately called for back up and within minutes we were out and on our way to the Milan airport.
