We thoroughly enjoyed our stay above the Kegel’s Inn. The building is old, but obviously loved and treasured. Nothing fancy but clean and full of character! We stayed 3 nights, from Sunday until Wed. We were disappointed upon arrival to find that the restaurant downstairs wouldn’t be open until Tuesday, but it was worth the wait! Again charming atmosphere, friendly staff, and FANTASTIC authentic German food. My husband enjoyed the BEST roast duck he has ever had. And we enjoyed giant homemade soft pretzels to go. Beautiful hand painted murals, stained glass windows, warm original woodwork, and a beer garden outside add to the charm of this unique historic restaurant. And the restaurant/bar/beer garden was quiet from 10p-10a so we still had a very peaceful night sleep. Fun place we would highly recommend. Again, the room was not fancy, but was clean, comfortable, old and full of history. Would not be suitable for anyone who can’t climb stairs or has physical challenges. Bathroom is small and not handicap friendly. All in all, Thank you for the great experience!
